Does Real Housewives of Miami Season 7 have a villain, and if so, is it friend of Marysol Patton? That’s what new RHOM star Stephanie Shojaee thinks. Stephanie came in hot for her debut Real Housewives season. While she’s had different sparring partners throughout the season, the real estate mogul is now convinced Marysol Patton is the true source of conflict. She has Marysol’s fellow RHOM friend of Adriana de Moura on board, at least. But how did Stephanie come to this conclusion? And is it accurate to call Marysol the villain of RHOM Season 7? Let’s break this down below.

Why Stephanie Shojaee thinks Marysol Patton is the villain of Real Housewives of Miami Season 7

It all began with Stephanie’s plane, which might as well be a cast member on RHOM Season 7. Even back at Marysol’s preppy themed party, before the trip to Seville took place. Back then, Stephanie was shocked and offended when Marysol chose to fly commercial and turned down an invitation on the private plane. But Marysol made that choice because she wanted to fly with her bestie Alexia Nepola.

The plane drama really took off (pun intended) when Stephanie stressed about the flight to Marbella. As she made seating charts and said she’d leave people behind, Marysol started to feel uneasy. She and Alexia stayed behind instead.

Stephanie initially placed more of the blame on Alexia, since they were already feuding. But Marysol admitted she was the one who made the decision. When they had a bonding moment in a sauna, Alexia said that Marysol was angry about Stephanie having lunch with Adriana. Marysol also began calling Stephanie “Mighty Mouse,” a nickname she clearly doesn’t like. Alas, Marysol doesn’t let go of nicknames. Just ask Lisa Hochstein aka “Monkey.” After the cruise, Stephanie deduced that Marysol is behind it all, and Alexia is her mouthpiece.

Stephanie brought her theory to Adriana, who unsurprisingly co-signed. Marysol and Adriana have a long standing feud. Remember Adriana’s poem from the perspective of Marysol’s liver? I think about that at least once a week.

Adriana said Alexia has been Marysol’s mouthpiece for “a long time.” In flashbacks, RHOM reminded us of the time Alexia said Adriana’s then-beau was married. She later admitted that information came from Marysol. Adriana told Stephanie about Marysol’s PR company. With confirmation and extra context from Adriana, Stephanie declared she’s now prepared to go up against Marysol.

On Watch What Happens Live, Alexia admitted, after some prodding from Andy Cohen, that she’s been a mouthpiece for Marysol before. And that she might be “a little bit” still this season. She also claimed she says what Marysol’s thinking sometimes not because Marysol asked her too, but because Alexia herself wants to. But she also accused Adriana of being obsessed with talking about Marysol. So, make of that what you will.

Why Marysol Patton may not be the villain on RHOM Season 7

Looking at Stephanie’s issues with Marysol, there’s another explanation that doesn’t fit the role of a villain. Instead, it seems that Marysol’s motivation may just be her friendship with Alexia. The Seville trip was meant to cheer the Cuban Barbie up amidst her messy divorce from Todd Nepola.

That’s not to say Marysol hasn’t done anything villainous this season. For instance, she joined in the controversial pile on. At that preppy party, she accused Guerdy Abraira of regifting. Her co-star posted literal receipts to prove otherwise. Marysol then blocked Guerdy and regifted the cocktail maker to Larsa Pippen. Yikes!

Based on what we’ve seen this season specifically, does Guerdy have a better case than Stephanie for Marysol being the villain? And based on audience reactions, it seems like most viewers would name Julia Lemigova the season villain over Marysol.

But from Stephanie and Adriana’s point of view, Marysol is actually the mastermind of the group. But is that necessarily true? We may have to keep watching RHOM Season 7 to find out for sure.

The Real Housewives of Miami is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
