Kroy Biermann Reflects on ‘Gaslighting’ in Kim Zolciak Relationship: ‘Deliberately Orchestrated Chaos’

After years of watching their messy relationship spill out in the headlines, Kroy Biermann just shared a rare statement about Kim Zolciak and the “chaos” he endured throughout their relationship. In the lengthy Instagram post, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum explained just how abusive and toxic things got. Now, he wants his story to help other men who feel trapped in unhealthy relationships.

Kroy Biermann posted the message as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

“I’ve wrestled with this post for days, trying to find the words to communicate the weight and complexity of what I’ve lived through,” Kroy began. “How do you put years of confusion, pain, and survival into a few paragraphs?”

Kim and Kroy tied the knot in 2011, but things publicly went to hell in 2023 when they initially filed for divorce. According to Kroy, we didn’t see just how much he endured during those years.

“There was a time I didn’t think I’d make it. The pain was so constant, the confusion, the isolation, the gaslighting. It felt like my soul was caving in,” Kroy wrote.

“I was trapped in deliberately orchestrated chaos, yet somehow I was the one blamed for the storm,” he continued. “Every word I said was twisted. Every effort I made was never enough. And eventually, I started to believe, maybe I was the problem.”

Kroy recalled nights when he “prayed” for change. He felt like “death” started to “sound like peace.” Ultimately, he relied on his faith to get him through it.

Kroy continued, “God met me in that darkness. When I didn’t have the strength to fight for myself, he fought for me.”

Today, Kim and Kroy’s relationship is still up in the air. They’ve filed for divorce multiple times but have not finalized their split. With that in mind, Kroy said he’s “still healing,” but in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, he wanted to send a message to anyone currently struggling.

Kroy concluded, “You are not alone. You are not too broken. You are not forgotten. God’s not done with your story.”
