It’s the invite most everyone wants … but arguably, few will get. Of course, I’m talking about Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce, which Meghan Markle has her heart set on, according to a source.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Duchess of Sussex wants an invite. After all, she publicly congratulated Taylor and Travis on their engagement. But one royal insider has suspicions about the royal’s motive.
A source claims Meghan Markle “will be raging” if she doesn’t get an invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding
Per the royal source, who spoke to RadarOnline, Meghan is preparing for a “meltdown of royal proportions” if she doesn’t score an invite to Taylor and Travis’ wedding. As for why that is, the Hollywood insider said Meghan feels “eclipsed” by the pair.
“She was furious,” the insider claimed, pointing to Meghan’s Netflix series – which premiered the day after their engagement – and the relaunch of her brand, As Ever. “[Meghan] had been working for months to relaunch herself as the queen of lifestyle and empowerment. And then Taylor casually drops the biggest celebrity news of the year.”
“Meghan was raging behind closed doors that her headlines were ‘stolen’ by the singer,” the source added. “But she still liked Taylor’s post to look gracious.”
Things, apparently, weren’t so gracious, though. “It was through gritted teeth, no question,” the insider suggested.
It’s no wonder then, that Meghan wants an invitation to the wedding – perhaps to smooth things over. “She’s desperate to be there,” the source alleged. “This is the kind of event that cements your place in the A-list hierarchy.”
They continued: “If she’s snubbed, she’ll take it as a personal insult. She’s already saying it would be ‘a shame’ if certain people tried to keep her out, which is Meghan-speak for she’s gearing up to be angry.”
