Lala Kent on Joining The Valley Season 3 Cast: ‘Feels Good’

Following all the post-Scandoval drama of Vanderpump Rules, Lala Kent felt like she needed some time away from the cameras. Now we’ve learned that Lala will be joining the cast of Pump Rules spinoff The Valley for Season 3.

“It’s weird because I’ve been friends with a lot of these people for a long time,” she said. “I am like, ‘Oh, you guys are also filming a show, but I only know you when we’re in our cute little bubble.’ It’s just a different game when you’ve got cameras on you.”

Lala Kent didn’t feel “done” with reality TV before joining the cast of The Valley

So far, Lala’s enjoying filming with her friends. “Everyone is wonderful, and everyone is pulling their weight,” she told OK! “They all have kids except [Tom] Schwartz. It’s a different environment than Vanderpump Rules.”

Since she’s been “out of the game” for a couple of years now, Lala admitted, “It was definitely a shock to me to be back [filming] … I’m having a good time, though.”

But filming on The Valley is quite different that it was on VPR. Since most of the cast have small children, parties don’t start as late or get as wild as they might have in their younger days.

“I love when I see so and so is having a party, and it starts at 6 pm,” she confessed. “I am like, ‘I can get down with that!’ We are living the dream.”

Unlike her early days on VPR, Lala is in mom mode now. She has two daughters: Ocean and Sosa. She’s been in something of her “own peaceful bubble” for the past few years, at home with her girls. Yet she’s found getting back into filming like “riding a bike,” and she’s enjoying it.

“I get to hang out with my friends, which I would be doing anyway,” she continued. Though apparently, “friends” no longer include former bestie Scheana Shay, who won’t be filming Season 3.

Meanwhile, Lala has “no complaints … I missed it. I love doing reality TV, I love the art of it, I love watching it. It just didn’t feel like I was done.”

While Season 3 began filming in August 2025, a premiere date has yet to be announced. It will most likely debut sometime in 2026.

The Valley is now streaming on Peacock.
