Jason Kelce Was Worried About New Heights Podcast Success

Delving into an uncharted territory can be nerve-wracking for anyone, and even celebrities aren’t immune to that. On the contrary, being in the public eye results in constant scrutiny and backlash for even the smallest of mistakes. One wrong move can cost a public figure their entire career, and NFL star Jason Kelce recently got candid about his initial fear of their podcast failing to impress the audience.

Jason Kelce has this fear regarding podcast with Taylor Swift

Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has carved out another way of connecting with his audience. It is through his New Heights Podcast with his younger brother, Travis Kelce. Over the years, the NFL brothers duo has successfully established themselves as successful podcasters with a loyal fanbase.

Having said that, there’s always the possibility of certain episodes and comments triggering criticism and severe backlash from fans. One such event that left Jason Kelce sleepless for many nights, worrying about the outcome, was the most talked-about episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast. The one that featured none other than pop star and Travis Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift.

Pop sensation Taylor Swift appeared on the New Heights podcast on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. The two-hour-long engaging conversation witnessed Taylor diving into a plethora of topics. From announcing the release of her new album, Life of a Showgirl, to talking about her love of baking and sourdough. Sharing exciting details of her relationship with Travis to speaking on maintaining the perfect life-career balance, the podcast touched every aspect of the Wildest Dreams singer’s life.

As expected, Swifties didn’t disappoint, and the podcast garnered 1.3 million views on the release date itself. Putting an end to Jason Kelce’s inhibitions while adding to his joy, it even broke a Guinness World Record.

Expressing his gratitude towards his future sister-in-law in a conversation with Ralphie Aversa of USA Today. “Taylor killed it,” Kelce said.

“For her to trust us and to come on our show and release all that information to the world, to be as open as she was, the resounding sentiment from everybody was awesome to see,” the 37-year-old former center additionally said.
