It’s the end of Real Housewives of Rhode Island Season 1! Last week, Liz accused Jo-Ellen and Alicia of ganging up on her. Rulla, who showed up with a new nose, continued to defend Brian and slam Jo-Ellen. But Jo-Ellen insisted the proof backed up her claims. Rulla called Jo-Ellen a “whore,” alleging she sleeps with doctors. In response, Jo-Ellen said she was gonna break Rulla’s new nose! Here’s what went down in the RHORI Reunion Part 2.
What happened on Real Housewives of Rhode Island Season 1 Episode 14?
On Real Housewives of Rhode Island Season 1 Episode 14, “Reunion Part 2,” the first season concludes with the husbands joining the Housewives onstage. Brian’s in the hot seat. Kelsey clarifies online rumors about her mystery ex. Jo-Ellen brings receipts for new claims about Brian and Rulla.
Kelsey and Rosie clear things up
Following last week’s cliffhanger, Jo-Ellen and Rulla continue throwing barbs at one another until Andy switches gears back to Rosie and Kelsey’s feud. When Rosie shares her 5,000 square feet home will be done mid-July, Kelsey claims not to care. Then shows otherwise by harping on the plans. Rosie gets up to grab her binder of receipts- kept in a bedazzled briefcase- but Andy won’t let her leave the stage. Rosie also has receipts of her medical reasons for leaving her job. Kelsey rambles something about the affair rumors she heard, but unlike Rosie, she didn’t bring proof.
Later, Kelsey insists that Rosie has two mortgages on her house, claiming someone sent her the info (Rosie guesses Gary, who does mortgages). Rosie clarifies it’s one mortgage and a construction loan. Despite what Kelsey says, she never claimed otherwise. Kelsey says Rosie is just as bad as her, and Rulla agrees. Rosie says her comment alleging Kelsey’s ex bought the Miss Rhode Island win was her way of fighting back after Kelsey attacked her so many times.
Speaking of pageants, Andy reminds us that Kelsey’s Miss USA introduction was “it’s not a rumor, doctors removed that tumor!” After she was hit by a drunk driver, her lawyer (her ex’s brother) advised her to get a cat-scan, which showed the tumor. She put off surgery until after the Miss Rhode Island pageant. When Kelsey says she would’ve lost peripheral vision if it wasn’t removed, cameras cut to Rosie making a face.
Kelsey also shuts down the rumor she was a sex worker (Rosie doesn’t seem convinced). She has receipts of paperwork she filed to stop someone who was using her photos to make an escort page.
Alicia updates on the wedding, crackers, and driving
When Andy asks Alicia about Billy, she says it wasn’t love at first sight. He was a “stalker” who wore her down. She’s started thinking about the wedding- she wants to do it in Greece, where Billy’s family is from, “like Mamma Mia.”
We learn more about Alicia’s quirks. She drives short distances, but nothing over 20 minutes. She’s working on a cracker line with “you know the oyster crackers? Them.” Her aunt who brought the flask for the 15-minute drive in the premiere is the one who introduced her to Jane’s Fonda.
Back to Billy, Alicia admits that her not understanding financial and legal things has lead him to take advantage. The one time they tried to settle a prenup, he was going to leave her with nothing. Rulla tries to explain what a trust is, but Alicia doesn’t understand why her name can’t just be on the house.
However, Ashley insists Billy really loves Alicia and wouldn’t leave her with nothing.
Kelsey shares more about her ex
Kelsey shares she wasn’t really onboard with her ex dating other women, hence why she didn’t like the polygamist label. She met him at the tanning salon where Jo-Ellen worked, after he dated Paula Abdul- they even stayed at Paula’s house!
Before he knew it was Housewives, her ex was going to film the show, and appeared on her audition tapes. However, he didn’t want to be talked about, so he pulled back. But he watched RHORI and liked it. Now, Kelsey lives with Bill, who pays her car insurance, but she covers the rest.
Later, Kelsey responds to the rumors that she actually broke up with her boyfriend two years before filming. Kelsey says it was complicated- they were “at odds” for a year beforehand. They’d break up and get back together, and she’d move out and back into the house, for some time.
Rulla addresses the Spanish teacher rumors
Rulla insists she really was sick a lot during filming, probably a result of stress. She admits Brian was in contact with the mistress over the summer to stop her from going “buck wild.” Rulla and Brian had an app tracking each other, so she’s not sure why he put one on her car. Jo-Ellen points out that she told Rulla Brian was tracking her- we see her ask Brian about it at polo.
Rulla denies having an affair with Brian while he was married to Alicia’s Spanish teacher. Laying out the timeline, she says Brian got divorced in 2010, met her in 2013, and they married 2016. But Jo-Ellen pulls up court documents showing Brian’s divorce was finalized in March 2016 (he filed in 2011). Jo-Ellen repeatedly implies Rulla and Brian can’t be legally married, which feels like a stretch. Rulla calls Jo-Ellen a psychopath, to which she smiles and says “I know.” She also alleges Rulla got pregnant when Brian was still legally married to the Spanish teacher.
Bring out the RHORI men
When the husbands come out, Jared assures us Audrey’s ice machine is fixed. Gerry says a friend of his called about Liz’s Block Island trip … and put Brian on the phone! Brian didn’t tell Rulla that. Liz admits she only danced with the other guy to make Gerry jealous anyway. Gerry also says the rumors about Dino and Liz didn’t bother him, and jokes about Dino’s legal drama.
Billy explains his side. He didn’t handle the prenup well, but claims he did want to take in what Alicia asked for. He also suggested the idea of monthly financial meetings, but Alicia recoils at something so boring. Billy gives Alicia a document promising 50% of Pizza Mamma if she drives Celina to dance. Alicia hesitates to take half, but the cast convinces her to sign. I’m not sure this would hold up in court, but unlike Billy, I’m not a lawyer.
Brian pleads the fifth
Andy points out appearing on reality TV mid-affair was a bad move. Brian, as always, stumbles over his words, claiming he can’t say much because of a lawsuit. Rulla explains that he made the mistress (and another woman) part owners of a business (before the affair, apparently) and now they’re in a lawsuit and signed NDAs.
Brian denies the rumor he went to see the mistress at polo instead of his parents. Rulla says he dropped her off first because the kids were at his parents, and if they saw her, they’d want her to stay, because her kids are very attached to her, unlike Jo-Ellen’s (rude!).
Jo-Ellen claims Brian’s dad found the mistress’ underwear in the house! Once again, I have to share an exchange:
Jo-Ellen: “You can talk about my kids but I can’t talk about dirty panties?”
Rulla: “How many panties have you left in other men’s beds? Sorry Gary.”
Jo-Ellen: “None! Brian says your butt smells like garlic, just so you know.”
Andy: “I mean, butts smell.”
Jared: “I would love if my ass smelled like garlic.”
Jo-Ellen brings receipts
During polo, the mistress posted a photo of a Chanel bag. Jo-Ellen discovered Brian bought the bag that month. Brian denies it, but Rulla admits it’s not her bag.
Also, Gary shares that when he first met Brian, the mistress introduced him as her boyfriend!
Brian claims he was divorced in September 2012. As Jo-Ellen pulls up the court documents, he asks why Jo-Ellen cares so much. Jo-Ellen wants to prove that Brian is the liar, not her.
While discussing when the affair ended, Jo-Ellen pulls up a text Brian allegedly sent in November telling the mistress he couldn’t wait to be the best boyfriend/fiancé!
When did the affair end?
Rosie tells Rulla Jo-Ellen won’t stop until Brian reveals when the affair ended. Brian argues he can’t say because of the NDA, but claims he hasn’t seen her since October. This is when Rulla now believes it ended. Rulla sees Jo-Ellen was telling the truth, but is still angry she put the info out there. “Why aren’t you mad at him for putting it in her,” Jo-Ellen responds.
When asked why he put a tracker on the car, Brian again pleads the fifth because the case was dismissed. But he was actually glad for the no-contact order, because it made him realize how much he loved and missed Rulla. Yikes.
Andy can tell Rulla’s still hurt. “It’s painful every day,” she says through tears. Ashley tells Rulla she’s better than him, and Jo-Ellen agrees. Ashley calls Brian a slam pig. Rulla promises this is Brian’s last chance. She sums up the affair as “He’s an idiot, and she’s crazy.” Backstage, Brian jokes the guys should thank him for making RHORI a hit. Meanwhile, Rulla hints that more will come out about the rest of the cast in Season 2.
That’s a wrap on RHORI!
Wrapping things up, Andy asks the cast what they’d do differently. Rosie and Kelsey will try and co-exist. Ashley wishes she were less nervous. Jo-Ellen wishes she didn’t come at Rulla so hard and had Liz’s back more. Alicia wishes she wore more makeup, because she hates the tiny scar from a dog bite. Liz presents Andy with his very own mask, dubbing him the King of Rhode Island. And with that, the ladies cheer with Dirty Shirleys to an incredible first season.
I miss them already! I can’t wait for Season 2!
