It’s already been a few weeks since Hilaria Baldwin was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. The Season 34 contestant was a solid performer, and had great chemistry from her Gleb Savchenko. However, it wasn’t a secret that she wasn’t exactly a fan-favorite cast member among viewers. After a handful of performances, they were cut from the competition. But, it wasn’t a peaceful exit.
Not long after leaving the ballroom, Hilaria made headlines are alleging she was bullied off of the show. At the time of her accusation, Hilaria didn’t detail exactly what she meant. Was she bullied by fans? Her co-stars? Production? Well, she just made it plain and simple.
Hilaria Baldwin thinks Dancing with the Stars viewers turned on her
Hilaria was a recent guest on Emma Klipstein’s Too Much podcast. During the segment, she broke down exactly what her bullying claim entailed. Each night on DWTS, fans have a chance to vote up to 10 times per duo. So, if viewers decide to only cast their votes to certain people, the others don’t stand a chance.
“They’re gonna vote for all the couples besides me, or besides X person. So that suppresses your fan vote. This is not just like a me thing,” she explained in the November 4 episode.
The reality TV star also shared that she witnessed this with her own eyes, as it was planned out on social media.
“It was because they were reaching out to everybody to do it. You open TikTok, you’re like, ‘Oh my God, this is like this sad. It hurts your feelings.”
If that really was the case, then Season 27 winner Bobby Bones has a leg to stand on. After her bullying claim, he publicly disagreed with her using that term to describe the situation. He argued that it wasn’t bullying, but rather the simple concept that people didn’t vote for her because they didn’t like her.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
