The 27-year-old internet personality will receive the Cotto Changemaker Award at the New York Operation Smile Gala for his philanthropic efforts toward Operation Smile programs. The prestigious event will take place at Sony Hall in New York’s Times Square on Wednesday evening.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, MrBeast will be awarded along with Mira Sorvino, the Cotto family, and philanthropist Viet Hoang. All the honorees will be felicitated for their impactful contributions to the nonprofit organization. Moreover, the event will have a silent auction and sponsored speakeasies.
Meanwhile, Zachary Levi, Carmit Bachar, and Jessica Lee Goldyn will take care of the entertainment with their mesmerizing performances. The Operation Smile Gala will host more than 400 guests, and Pritika Swarup, model, influencer, and Prakti Beauty founder, will take over emcee duties. The main intent behind the event is to raise funds for healthcare and cleft lip and palate surgeries.
The outlet further states that while MrBeast won’t be attending the event in person, he will be accepting the accolade virtually. The Cotto Changemaker Award is a huge honor in itself. That said, MrBeast is not new to applause and recognition, with numerous impressive awards to his name. He earned a place in Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Social Media category in 2021.
The Beast Games presenter proudly also holds multiple Guinness World Records, including gaining the most subscribers in one week. Furthermore, he made a record of building the world’s largest vegetarian burger.
Additionally, MrBeast made it to Time’s Most Influential People list in 2023. In an impressive streak of wins, he even won the Creator of the Year at the Streamy Awards for four consecutive years from 2020 to 2023.
