Megyn Kelly believes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal titles may soon become a thing of the past. In a new interview, the broadcaster said she expects the royal couple to face the same fate as the former Prince Andrew, whose royal status was stripped following his very public scandals. Moreover, Kelly claimed that “no one cares” about the couple anymore.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal titles in danger, predicts Megyn Kelly
Speaking to The Daily Mail in a new interview, Megyn Kelly suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may soon lose their royal titles. She said, “King William, in whatever years it takes after he ascends, I think he’s going to take away their [Harry and Meghan’s] royal titles, and that should happen ASAP.”
The former “Today” anchor didn’t hold back in her criticism of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Kelly accused them of using their titles for social and commercial gain after leaving royal life behind in 2020. In that, she stated, “[Meghan] is dining out over here on the British Royal titles, it’s so absurd, the family she called racist, the people she called racist.”
Kelly also claimed that dislike for Markle has united Americans across the political spectrum. “I’ll go out to dinner at a restaurant,” she said, adding, “I’ll have leftists come up to me and say – I disagree with you on literally everything except Meghan Markle.”
Moreover, the journalist compared their situation to “the fallen Prince” Andrew, who recently lost his royal title and had to vacate his residence following public controversies. She predicted a similar outcome for the Sussexes, especially under Prince William’s future reign.
Kelly added, “No one cares about them, and no one is rooting for them,” pointing to the boos Harry and Meghan reportedly received at the World Series game in Los Angeles. Besides her comments on their titles, Kelly also said she saw Canada, not California, as the more fitting home for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
While the royal couple continues to build their independent brand in California, Kelly’s comments suggest that their royal connection may be wearing thin — both in the U.S. and abroad.
