Prince Harry allowed attention to be on ‘radiant’ Meghan Markle, per body language expert

According to The Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bash at Jeff Bezos’s $165 million Beverly Hills mansion. The royal couple joined a host of A-list celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey and Adele. The event, themed around James Bond, drew high-profile guests and was closely followed by paparazzi and media.

Photographs from the arrival show Prince Harry, 41, walking slightly ahead of Meghan Markle, 44, who followed him with a bright smile. According to UK body language expert Judi James, Harry appeared to adopt a protective stance, allowing the focus to remain on a “radiant” Meghan.

James explained that the Duke’s serious demeanor was intended to shield his wife from the photographers’ attention. Further, creating a controlled environment where Meghan could shine. The expert described the couple’s approach as “more old-school A-list.” She noted that Harry’s posture resembled that of a personal bodyguard. He kept his hand firmly holding Meghan’s in a gesture of protection.

Judi James added that the positioning, with an outstretched arm slightly behind and away from his body, conveys both strength and vigilance, a technique similar to those used by other high-profile couples to navigate media scrutiny.

For the evening, Meghan showcased a chic look in a skintight black top paired with a wrap skirt. Meanwhile, Harry adhered to a traditional black tuxedo and bow tie. He also wore a poppy in honor of Remembrance Day, a tribute observed by senior members of the Royal Family at London’s Cenotaph.
