BravoCon 2023 marked a turning point for Shep Rose. This Southern Charm star partied so hard, he ended up losing himself somewhere along the way. Nevertheless, a pamphlet in his hand still managed to locate the head of Captain Lee Rosbach, the former star stud of Below Deck’s seas.
Thankfully, Shep received a major “wake-up call” from Andy Cohen immediately after BravoCon wrapped. However, as the stars are gathering once again for BravoCon 2025, new details about his pamphlet-pummeling ways in 2023 have just emerged, courtesy of the matriarch of Southern Charm.
Shep Rose had “overindulged” at BravoCon 2023, according to Patricia Altschul

Patricia Altschul recently took a break from packing her caftans for BravoCon to do the one thing she does best: gossip about her fellow Charmers. As she told Decider, this annual weekend is “great fun.” But in 2023, Shep took the word “fun” to an unacceptable level, as one of his antics involved a gentle whacking of another Bravo star.
“I was sitting next to Captain Lee for [The Bravos], the big extravaganza that Andy does, and Shep had overindulged, shall we say,” Patricia began. She continued, “He was misbehaving during this production. He threw his pamphlet or something that he had across the aisle. It hit Captain Lee in the head, it hit me, it hit Madison [LeCroy]. He was out of control.”
After this dark period, Shep attended an ayahuasca retreat. He also cut back on drinking. But how does Mrs. Pat think Shep might fare this weekend at BravoCon 2025?
Well, she predicts that Shep will behave “more of the same.” As she quipped, “I don’t think ayahuasca is the end-all, be-all.”
Southern Charm Season 11 premieres on November 19, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock, or Hayu in Canada, the UK and Ireland.
