Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: Tonight Can Change Everything

And now it’s time to say goodbye to Temptation Island, for the singles that is. This is the last chance for them to make their move before the final bonfire where the couples decide if they want to leave the island together, alone, or with someone else. So far, it looks like only Ashley Goldson might want to go home with her boyfriend, while Esonica Veira, Ashley Howland and Kate Griffith will choose to fly solo or leave with someone else.

On the opposite side of things, Gavin Rocker, Casey Starchak, and Rick Fleur seemed to have decided they want to go home with their girlfriends. David Benavidez, as usual, says whatever the person he is with wants to hear, so who knows what he really wants. All I know is, it’s going to be an interesting finale, and no one can be sure of anything.

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: Role Reversal

I don’t know about you, but I am thankful for Temptation Island! It’s the gift that keeps on giving. There were two surprises for me this episode. First, when Casey Starchak went next level narcissist and spilled his sociopathic scheme to win back Ashley Howland. David Benavidez officially has some competition now about who is the most vile guy on the show. The second surprise was when Esonica Veira hopped into bed with Kareem Thomas! This crushed my hope for her and Gavin Rocker reuniting at the end.

But let’s get back to Casey. He was in shock after watching Ashley H.’s video message. Ashley had thanked him for bringing her here, told him all her insecurities are gone, and she didn’t regret making out with Ben Knobloch. The one tear Casey managed to squeeze out wasn’t from losing Ashley, but from Ashley dumping him before he could dump her.

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: She Didn’t Say, I Love You

The latest episode of Temptation Island was all about girl power. I could almost hear Ashley Howland, Kate Griffith, and Esonica Veira singing Madonna’s “Express Yourself.” Notably, “You deserve the best in life, so if the time isn’t right, then move on. Second best is never enough, you’ll do much better, baby, on your own.” #Stillholdsup

On the other hand, some of the guys are having the opposite reaction. Namely, Casey Starchak and Gavin Rocker. All of a sudden they’ve realized their girlfriends aren’t so bad after all and they regret bringing them here. When we last left Casey at the bonfire, he assumed the worst when he saw Ashley H. and Ben Knobloch making out in bed together. Mark L. Walberg put a positive spin on it and told Casey he can grow into the man that Ashley didn’t know she needed. Too little, too late!

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: A Real Man

Ok, Temptation Island needs to win all the Emmys next year. Best reality TV show, best drama, best comedy…this show covers it all! The only award not getting scooped up is best actor for David Benavidez. He needs to go back to drama school because no one is buying his BS. Well, except for Toneata Morgan. But more on that later.

We’ve had to wait two whole episodes for Kate Griffith’s reaction to David fooling around with Payton Burgess and Samantha Hoffman at the same time. Finally, the moment arrived. At the bonfire, host Mark L. Walberg asked Kate how she felt. After a moment of self-reflection, she stated, “Maybe all along I knew who he was…does he not understand that I’m gonna see that?” He pulled a coward’s move to get out of a relationship. And he got his wish.

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: The Walk Of Shame

Temptation Island has truly mastered the art of crafting a good cliffhanger. Every week a bombshell is dropped and we are left hanging at the end of each episode. And last week was no exception. I needed a bonfire to find some closure after that hot mess!

Last we saw, it looked like a threesome was in the works with David Benavidez, Payton Burgess and Samantha Hoffman. Payton threw herself at David to make Casey Starchak jealous, and Samantha threw herself at him to steer him away from Toneata Morgan and Kari Nesheim. I really hope these women end up realizing that David is no prize to fight over.

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: Something’s In The Air

This season of Temptation Island just keeps getting better and better. There has been an explosive revelation in practically every episode so far. And this episode was no exception! If you thought things couldn’t get worse for our couples, you’d be wrong. There were several rejections that spurred major drama, and another ultimate betrayal from one of the couples. So grab your favorite cocktail, because you’re going to need it!

But first, there is a bonfire to finish. When we last saw the ladies, Kate Griffith saw footage of her boyfriend David Benavidez in the hot tub with Toneata Morgan on top of his lap. Super classy. As predicted, Ashely Howland got shown footage of Casey Starchak wearing only a chef’s apron and holding Colleen Powers’ hand right next to his balls. So, did Ashley burst into tears like when she saw Casey getting lap dances the week prior?

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: Guilt Ridden

Last week’s episode of Temptation Island was turned up to eleven. In only the second episode, someone decided to go with the strategy of “rip the bandaid off and get it over with” by hooking up with one of the singles. And that someone was Ashley Goldson. Her actions were most likely spurred when her boyfriend, Rick Fleur, told her “the handcuffs were off.” So now it’s time to make way for a new couple, Ashley G. and KB Brown, everyone! He’s the captain now.

At the bonfire, Rick was shown footage of this shocking new revelation. Gavin Rocker’s jaw was literally on the floor, which was exactly my reaction as well. Surprisingly, David Benavidez and Casey Starchak were able to keep a straight face. But at the end of the day, all that mattered was what Rick thought. And his reaction was not quite what I had expected.

Temptation Island Season 2 Episode Recap: The Cuffs Are Off

I. Am. Dead. We are only onto the second episode of Temptation Island and already the show is next level. If the rest of the season keeps up at this pace I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it. For those who saw the episode already, you know exactly what I am freaking out about. And if you haven’t seen this episode yet, stop what you are doing and immediately find it on your DVR, streaming or on demand. This is truly must see TV.

We’ll get to the major bomb that dropped in a bit. But first, let’s start at the beginning. The couples say their goodbyes to one another, or rather lack there of. All of the women are crying as the men sheepishly walk out and head back to their villa where a bevy of single women await them. Everyone is pretty much regretting their decision to be on this show, but there’s no turning back now.
