There’s been yet another twist in Joe Giudice‘s ongoing deportation case.
In a shocking development, the Real Housewives of New Jersey husband has formally asked the judge presiding over his case to send him back to Italy while he awaits the final ruling on the pending case.
Another day, another Giudice drama! This time Joe Giudice, who has been cooling his heels in prison after a money fraud situation went terribly awry, has been barred from the prison’s alcohol abuse treatment program over his immigration status.
Despite living in America since he was a baby, and marrying American citizen Teresa Giudice, Joe never completed his citizenship requirements and is currently eligible for deportation once his 41 month prison sentence ends. Last year Joe entered Fort Dix correctional facility and was placed in a special unit for substance abuse. At his sentencing hearing, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star told the judge that he his drinking was out of control as a result of the legal issues, Teresa’s prison sentence, and the sudden loss of his father.
Taking a page from Taylor Swift, Heather Dubrow is accusing Jeff Lewis of character assignation for making allegations that she’s fake and phony.
While appearing on WWHL last week, Jeff dubbed Heather his least favorite Housewife, “which is completely fine,” she insists, “not everyone’s gonna like you,” but she’s not fine with Jeff accusing her of being rude to waitstaff during a dinner party at Shannon Beador‘s house (not filmed) – especially since he misrepresented his own behavior that fateful night!

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is one-on-one with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live tonight. Andy jokingly points out the irony in Teresa wearing an orange jumpsuit before he asks any questions.
They laugh, they catch up a little, and then Andy mentions, the last time he saw her, it didn’t seem like Teresa was preparing herself for prison. “No, not at all,” she admits. “I was just in the moment and focusing on my daughters. I felt like I was dying. In reality, that’s who I felt. I wanted to, every weekend, do something special with them. Especially with my little baby. I did not want her to forget me.”

The drama surrounding the Giudice’s legal matters continues to unfold. Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release. Teresa Giudice landed herself 15 months. During the course of the Giudice’s fraud indictment it emerged that despite living in the US for the majority of his life, and being married to a US citizen, Joe isn’t one himself, and therefore faces deportation after he serves his time.
Joe’s immigration attorney, Jerard Gonzalez, says that proceedings for a possible deportation will not begin until after Joe’s sentence is completed, however experts connected to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) said that officials could decide to expedite proceedings at any time – even while the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star is still behind bars!
“They could come pick him up tomorrow. I doubt they would do that,” says immigration attorney Edward Shulma (who is not connected to Joe’s case).“They want them to do most of the time.”
