Kelly alleged that producers provoked the backstage hair pulling argument with Abby to force Kelly off the show, then detained her from fleeing in order to press charges. Abby did press charges of misdemeanor assault, which were dropped.
It’s no surprise that Abby Lee Miller has let her fame go to her head, but now she’s treating Dance Moms producers the same way she treats her dancers and their mothers! Abby is blaming producers for the show’s constant conflicts and arguing lamenting they don’t respect her or the cast.
Abby went on a tirade against producers, calling them “morons” and if they don’t change their ways, she wants them to change their jobs. In true vitriolic Abby fashion she refused to take accountability for the negativity of Dance Moms, and accused producers of destroying it by faking conflicts and issues on the show. Which is the ultimate insult for Abby who declares she is fully capable of berating mothers and dancers without producer assistance.
Former Dance Moms victims unite! Last week Kelly Hyland scored a victory against Abby Lee Miller when the assault charges against her were dismissed! Cheering on Kelly’s victory is Christi Lukasiak, mom of Chloe, who stated that if viewers knew the true story behind Abby and Kelly’s altercation they would understand how Kelly went so far as to tug Abby’s Bump-it!
When a viewer asked Christi to clarify what her tweet meant she answered, “It means don’t believe everything you see on television.”
Well that didn’t take very long! Just a little over a year and a half ago, Abby Lee Miller fell victim to an atrocious attack which was not in the least bit provoked by Miller herself. Nope. Not one bit.
I’m sure all of you Dance Moms viewers (I hesitate to say fans, as I feel y’all, like me, watch out of sheer horror and weird fascination) remember the episode that aired in November of 2013 when Kelly Hyland had had enough of Abby’s hatefulness towards her two daughters. As she pointed in Abby’s face, screaming, Abby retaliated by acting as if she was going to bite of Kelly’s finger. If you need a refresher, I’ve posted a clip.
However, Lifetime reportedly has no plans to stop the Abby Lee Monster! During a recent trip to Australia, where Abby wasn’t even wanted, she revealed season 6 is a definite. Abby and the girls are filming while in Down Under, and Abby hinted about recruiting new students for the ALDC. “Maybe season six will be an Australian Dance Moms,” she suggested says the Daily Telegraph.
Apparently, the Judge who is presiding over Kelly Hyland’s lawsuit against Abby Lee Miller has never actually watched Dance Moms. Or maybe she did, and while she knows that Abby is nothing but hateful and cruel to her poor, sweet students (Maddie excepted, of course), Her Honor knows that the mothers featured on the Lifetime hit are every bit as crazy and ridiculous.
Whatever the case (no pun intended!), Kelly’s allegations of defamation and the infliction of emotional distress against Abby have been booted from her original complaint. The suit alleging $5 million in damages is still going forward, but it is now focusing on the remainder of Kelly’s claims, including negligence and breach of contract. I can’t wait to see how this plays out in court, y’all!
Following an extremely volatile season finale of Dance Moms, Abby is now facing another battle! Paige Hyland, who appeared on the show for 4 seasons, and left last season after her mother Kelly Hyland got in an altercation with Abby has now accused her former dance teacher of assault and filed a lawsuit against Abby Lee Miller!
In a suit filed on Tuesday in L.A. Superior Court, Paige attests that “Defendant Miller intentionally engaged in conduct that caused Plaintiff Paige Hyland to reasonably believe that she was about to be touched or harmed in an offensive manner.”
Paige’s complaint states that she “feared she would be physically injured because she had observed Miller physically batter other people on the show including physically pushing [Paige’s mother] Kelly Hyland’s face, pinching another student until she bled and violently grabbing another student by the arm.”
