Turning 18 is a milestone for most teens. They can vote, get their driver’s license (depending on the state laws, of course), go off to war, start college, and… get their lips done. Wait. What? That wasn’t on your list of milestones? Mine neither.
Well, Kim Zolciak recently revealed that it was on her daughter Ariana Biermann’s. Of course, doing this is totally her prerogative. It’s just not a typical rite of passage for teens. Then again, this is the norm on Don’t Be Tardy.
These days, NeNe Leakes talks about how much money she has almost as much as she shades Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey while pretending to be unbothered by their existence. However, that wasn’t always the case. During the beginning seasons of Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe’s husband Gregg Leakes was the breadwinner in their relationship. However, that changed when RHOA’s popularity skyrocketed. NeNe’s one-liners and her feuds with Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield gave her a lot of notoriety…. and the paycheck to buy much better wigs. Well, sometimes anyway. We all know that wig selection isn’t exactly NeNe’s biggest strength, no matter how high her budget is.
Anyway, in a recent interview, NeNe spilled some of the details about the start of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. I will never forget Kim texting NeNe “you are a low budget bitch” back in Season 1. But, you know what: Kim wasn’t too far off about the financial situation. The salaries on the show were not nearly as high as they are today.
The true origin of the Kim Zolciak and Kenya Moore feud is just so unclear. Kim left Real Housewives of Atlanta in the middle of Kenya’s first season. Then, she reappeared at the Chateau Sheree housewarming party and confronted Kenya for going into the still-unfinished basement. Kenya told her she looked like a duck because of her plumped-up lips, which was a fair comparison in all honesty.
The next season, things really came to a head at NeNe Leakes‘ white party. The partygoers all looked angelic in their all-white outfits, but Kenya and Kim did not behave like angels. At all. Kim questioned the legitimacy of Kenya’s then-secret marriage to Marc Daly. Then, Kenya accused Kim of pimping out her daughter Brielle Biermann for John Legend tickets. Never forget that now-deleted tweet Brielle supposedly wrote from Kim’s account asking Chrissy Teigen who Brielle has to “blow” for concert tickets. Kenya and NeNe were actually on the same side (for once) when they put Kim in her place during the Season 10 RHOA reunion. You remember that one, right? Andy Cohen told Kim that she brought “nothing positive” to the show and Kim said that racism wasn’t real. That was the end of Kim’s time on Real Housewives of Atlanta, for now anyway. However, that hasn’t stopped her from commenting on the show’s cast members.
Porsha Williams is capitalizing from her Real Housewives of Atlanta popularity just like her contemporaries are- by putting her name on as many businesses as she can. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Well, actually, there’s just one slight problem, but Porsha isn’t letting it bring her down.
She is promoting a line of shoes that she has with the JustFab brand and she only has one healthy foot. That hasn’t stopped Porsha from promoting the collaboration though. She has a a boot from the doctor on one foot and a shoe from her own collection on the other.
Sounds like a party! Maybe for some of you, getting some rad ink and making it rain for exotic dancers might be another Tuesday night. But for Ariana Biermann, aka “the good one”, it means a birthday! Kim Zolciak has raised yet another child to adulthood. Now the Don’t Be Tardy star only has four more kids to go… Yikes.
Ariana has been widely hailed as the most sensible out of the notorious Biermann clan. While she has morphed into a smaller replica of her mother, along with older sister Brielle Biermann, Ariana has remained focused on her grades and continuing her education. Which is a better option than
yachting finding random athletes to date as a career. Now that Ariana is 18, life will really begin. Kim shared what the family did to celebrate Ariana’s special occasion.
The consensus is kids are off limits in reality television, right? I completely adhere to this policy, as it is the fault of no child when their parents
exploit choose to have them filmed for a program. In the case of Kim Zolciak-Biermann, all six of her kids have grown up on television. When she started on Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim was the single mom of Ariana and Brielle, both very young when introduced.
After Kim met and married former
man pro-athlete Kroy Biermann, the baby factory was open and ready for business. Kim’s show, Don’t Be Tardy followed the pair’s lives and procreation abilities. The couple produced KJ and Kash, along with twins, Kaia and Kane. We’re still waiting on little Koo Koo for Koko Puffs to be conceived. Along the way, Kim has received an epic amount of constructive criticism regarding her children. In the latest round of, “I’m a better Mom than you are…”, Kim is now defending applying make-up to her youngest daughter’s face. On the bright side, no needles were involved. Yet.
Wigs, weaves, and extensions. Much like an American Express card, you never leave home without it. Such is the case for experienced hair-wearer, NeNe Leakes. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has treated us to a variety of different coiffes over the years. Great hair has almost become the new great bag in the land of accessorizing. Many Housewives have made their hair part of their overall identity. Dorit Kemsley never wears the same hair twice. Erika Jayne has a team dedicated to changing and styling her adhered locks.
Some might argue the person most identified with a collection of fake tresses could be Kim Zolciak-Biermann. Not only does Kim name her wigs, years ago NeNe famously yelled, “Bye, wig!” during an argument with her former friend. After that epic dismissal, Kim’s name became synonymous with the word. Years after making fun of Kim for her long, attached fibers, NeNe has been sporting flowing waves of blonde hair. Now she has a new gig, promoting a company dedicated to keeping your mane in check. But NeNe is finding out, new gigs are great until old clapbacks return to haunt her.
