Last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reached a new dramatic high for the series. Secrets were revealed. Glass was shattered. Middle school hip-hop choreography was performed. Now it’s time for the fallout. Which feels catastrophic for Jen Shah as she mopes around her empty ski chalet. Coach Shah is so angry about her outburst at his birthday party that he hasn’t been home in days. And it looks like her friendships with some of the other ‘Wives are on thin ice too.
Meanwhile, Whitney Rose drops by Beauty Lab + Laser to rehash the drama with Heather Gay. First and foremost, the cousins are in agreement that Whitney did absolutely nothing wrong by dropping bomb and bomb at the birthday bash and getting everything out on the table. But Whitney is a little miffed that Heather cut into her moment and interrupted the message she was trying to deliver to Jen. However, in Heather’s mind, the issue runs deeper than just another Jen blow-up. It’s about Jen choosing Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks over her and Whitney. A classic game of Housewives picking sides!
It has been about 80 years since the last season of Real Housewives of New Jersey. If you’ve been wondering what most of the cast has been up to during the RHONJ hiatus, you can ask any local New Jersey plastic surgeon. We might need name tags for the first few eps, until we figure out who everyone is.
The Season 11 trailer has dropped and it is full of drama… intrigue… and… so much hairspray. Thankfully Teresa “I’m Single And It Will Be Painfully Obvious” Giudice still has that gentle, lilting voice that could put you to sleep like a lullaby. Melissa Gorga will return to defend her marriage, so nothing new there. Jennifer Aydin comes back, committed to her lip liner and tequila. Will this be the year Delores Catania offers more content than agreeing with Teresa? It’s time to find out.
I cannot wait for Season 11 of Real Housewives of New Jersey to return on February 17. Just like the rest of us, the RHONJ cast has been dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Of course, some cast members have been behaving more responsibly than others.
In April, Jennifer Aydin announced that she had coronavirus. She later donated 5,000 masks to hospitals in New Jersey and New York. Good for you, Jennifer!
A lot of people seem to be questioning new Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Elizabeth Lyn Vargas specifically about Braunwyn Windham-Burke. It’s either that or Elizabeth is particularly fascinated with Braunwyn’s life. We’ve already heard from Liz regarding her thoughts on Braunwyn’s less than traditional marriage. Sean Burke has been Braunwyn’s husband for over 20 years. They share seven children and a lifetime of memories.
Speaking of memories, Elizabeth seems to think ‘ol Sean and Braunie have some skeletons in their closet. But Braunwyn has been painfully open this season, maybe too open. She’s just your average mom/wife/lesbian/girlfriend/husband-hitting/recovering alcoholic/please-don’t-date-other-people OC lady. Despite their troubles, Braunwyn and Sean have pledged to stick it out and that makes Liz think something is afoot. I’m not sure if Elizabeth is trying to pen a new chapter to Murder, She Wrote, but come hell or high water, she wants the dirt.
This is it! We made it to the season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County! It came suddenly. Yet it took forever to get here. What a strange, strange season this has been. It’s worth noting before diving into the drama that, clocking in at just 14 episodes (and assuming there’s no Secrets Revealed episode after the two-part reunion), this is the shortest season in RHOC history since Season 4. That was back in 2008. During the earliest days of Tamra Judge pointing her finger across the table at Javier’s and accusing Gretchen Rossi of going to Bass Lake.
It’s also only one episode longer than the freshman season of RHOSLC that’s also airing right now. Blame it on the pandemic. Or on the First Ladies of Bravo showing their age after 15 years. Or some combination of both. But it’s truly unprecedented for a flagship show that has regularly delivered 20+ episodes per season for the last decade. And is it just me, or did it sort of feels like production just…decided to wrap things up? Was it the worst season in Housewives history? That’s to be decided. But was it one of the weakest? Almost certainly.
Real Housewives of Orange County stars past and present can’t stop commenting on the antics of fellow castmate Braunwyn Windham-Burke. And who could blame them? Braunwyn somehow finds herself in the news every other day. She’s either interviewing about her many storylines, or she’s constantly getting her picture taken while she is out and about.
OG housewife, Vicki Gunvalson, called out Braunwyn for not spending time with her children when photos surfaced of her making out with her new girlfriend at the beach. Hey, at least the kids have dad Sean Burke and several nannies there for them. Current RHOC housewife, Kelly Dodd, made it no secret she believes Braunwyn plans for these photos. During an episode of the show, Kelly called out Braunwyn for using a BLM rally as a photo op. And now Kelly is hinting Braunwyn is at it again.
It was a given that the physical fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard would dominate the Season 5 Real Housewives of Potomac reunion. And Monique came ready to rumble. While many Housewives bring some receipts to the reunion, Monique outdid them all with a binder full of receipts.
There wasn’t any resolution between Candiace and Monique during the RHOP reunion. Monique did apologize, but Candiace declined to accept it.
It would take a lot to shock most of us these days. We’re watching shows where someone is married to their step grandfather. If a stranger approached us and declared themselves a recovering alcoholic lesbian who refuses to divorce her cis husband but has a girlfriend and would consider it a betrayal if her spouse dated another woman, we wouldn’t bat an eye.
And then there’s Brandi Glanville. Bless her heart. She briefly starred on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and managed to make a lot of enemies. After her departure, Brandi has been an occasional
mess guest on RHOBH. In her spare time, Brandi appears on social media. She likes to engage in arguments, she likes to give opinions no one asked for, and she ALLEGEDLY likes to do it under a haze of alcohol. Nothing really shocks our jaded souls about Brandi either. Not even now when she’s having a hysterical meltdown over breaking up with her… sofa.
