Craig Conover has grown quite a lot since the early days of Southern Charm. His lies about law school put his cat Gizmo right in the middle of his toxic relationship with Naomie Olindo. After their split, Craig leaned into his sewing game heavily. Now he’s got his own pillow company and brick-and-mortar store. He also finally opened his own law firm to prove to his naysayers that he really was getting around to finishing law school. Just, at his own pace which definitely wasn’t fast enough for a go-getter like Naomie.
Even his feud with Austen Kroll’s ex Madison LeCroy cooled down a bit. Well, after Craig exposed Madison for her FaceTime dates with Alex Rodriguez that may or may not be responsible for the reunion of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Needless to say, there have been plenty of surprises throughout the seven seasons of the show. The only thing that remains the same these days is Patricia Altschul’s afternoon martini habit.
Craig finally seems to be on the up-and-up after suffering a bit from Peter Pan syndrome. But that seems to be part of the deal when you’re friends with Shep Rose. Now that Shep has grown up a bit, totally credited to his girlfriend Taylor Ann Green, Craig has too. He’s got a podcast with Austen among his new business endeavors and the two will be making an appearance in the Summer House/Southern Charm spinoff, Summer House Winter Charm (that NAME). Craigy’s been living the single life, hanging out with Paige DeSorbo and begging Kristin Cavallari to appear on Southern Charm. And I have to root for him – he can be immature at times but seems to have a good heart. And I only want good things to come for Craig and his pillows.
One of the most underrated characters throughout all seven seasons of Southern Charm is Patricia Altschul’s partner-in-crime, Michael the Butler. Michael and Patricia are the epitome of class and old wealth in Charleston. Michael is always around to photograph Patricia in her dog-covered caftans and make her the perfect martini afterward. He’s seen plenty of characters come and go from Southern Charm, and through Patricia’s mansion, which means you could only imagine the secrets he’s harboring. And he’s more than just an employee — he’s really a part of Patricia and Whitney Sudler-Smith’s little family. Including their sophisticated pups.
Southern Charm fans were heartbroken to hear when Michael Kelcourse suffered a spinal cord stroke at the beginning of this year. Patricia shared a website with updates on his recovery, which she has said is “progressing rapidly” since the stroke. Michael has since been moved into an assisted living facility for rehabilitation. And it looks like Patricia and Whitney have been by his side to wait on him hand and foot for a change.
Shep Rose has been a mainstay on Southern Charm since the beginning. He’s a womanizer, a party animal, and a bit of a late bloomer.
And now Shep can add author to the list, as he just released his book Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar, about his life, relationships, and his time on the show. I haven’t gotten my hands on a copy yet. However, I’m not exactly dying for life advice from a 40-year-old frat boy who has family money. But at least he knows what it takes to make good TV, unlike Landon Clements.
The current era of Southern Charm‘s main source of controversy is Madison LeCroy, Austen Kroll and their various relationships A-List celebrities (and athletes). But, true fans will never forget where it all started.
It was really the drama between Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis that put the show on the map. It remained a central plot for seasons to come (even in his absence). And while there have been many villains in the show’s history (cough cough Ashley Jacobs), Landon Clements is definitely a name that’s hard to forget.
Shep Rose made two shocking announcements in 2020. The first is that he wrote a book! The second is that he is in a real life committed relationship. Thank goodness we can be rid of Relationshep once and for all. And one thing that we all have in common with Shep’s new book, Taylor Ann Green? She’s just as disinterested in reading the details of Shep’s former “untamed life.”
With the coronavirus shutdowns and the heavy focus on Kathryn Dennis’ racist behavior, there wasn’t much time to dive into Shep and Taylor’s love life in the latest season of Southern Charm. With the release of his new book, Average Expectations: Lessons in Lowering the Bar, Shep is using his press opportunities to let the people know what exactly is going on.
Just like many reality TV stars, Shep Rose has a book coming out. And of course, he dished on his Southern Charm experiences.
Apparently, Shep’s girlfriend Taylor Ann Green wasn’t too pleased to read about his sexual relationship with his-costar Kathryn Dennis.
Season 7 of Southern Charm introduced viewers to a (slightly) more mature Shep Rose. But frankly, his reputation could only go up after Season 6.
Who could forget all of the harsh words he’s shared with Madison Lecroy? Or his never-ending antics to break her and Austen Kroll up, such as inviting the girls from the infamous threesome video to a party the couple was at. And don’t even get us started on the video of him berating a homeless person.
The news broke recently that Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are having relationship problems. While some people are surprised by this, I’m just surprised that it took this long for breakup gossip to surface. Apparently, they’re still hanging on to this relationship, but I just don’t get why.
ARod was having secret FaceTime interactions with Madison LeCroy from Southern Charm. She maintained that he “never physically cheated” on Jennifer. Regardless, that’s so absurdly disrespectful and embarrassing. Jennifer should have dropped him immediately when this story broke.
