Things are getting very ugly and very fast for The Bachelorette’s Ed Swiderski and Jillian Harris, as two of Ed’s ex-girlfriends are now talking publicly. Both say Ed was intimate with them before, during and after “The Bachelorette” was filmed. Their story will be US magazine’s cover story for this week’s issue.
Bethany Steffen and Lindsey Johnson (both pictured above) have both sold their stories to USWeekly magazine. Jill Martin of Us Weekly said, “It’s the ultimate deception — Ed wasn’t living a double life, he was living a triple life!”
Lindsey, the blonde in the above picture, says she dated Ed for a year — and he promised that they’d be engaged before the end of 2009. She even drove him to the airport on March 25, where he assured her he’d only be on the show for two weeks.
Ed kept in touch with both women via text and email while filming. On April 10, he allegedly wrote Lindsey, “I’m going to molest you when I get home.”
The most shocking news of all? Both women say they were intimate with Ed when he abruptly left the show on April 15, telling Jillian that he had to leave the show “to work” in Chicago. While in Chicago, Ed then told Bethany and Lindsey he needed to fly to Texas on business, but returned to the show and attempted to win Jillian back.
On April 23, Ed reportedly emailed Bethany, writing, “I was really hoping to grab your ass.” Ed popped the question to Jillian on May 24. Days later on June 3, Ed allegedly texted Bethany, asking her to come by and “bring beer and condoms.”
I really have no words for this story. The source of this story is Extra, as told to them by UsWeekly. More on this story will be in this week’s issue of US Magazine. Feel bad for Jillian, it’s practically impossible to build a lasting relationship that’s based on lies and deception.

These types of shows usually do not work. You have how many relationships work from this franchise? one. Trista and Ryan.lol. I view this as total entertainment and find it hilarious. People are too quick to put their lives out there for the world to see.
I am going to stay tuned though. I hope Jillian has a thick skin.

Lidsay & Bethany – If you are hurt by someone because he dumped you, and you bring it to a public forum. You don’t hurt the the guy who moved on with a new love, but you make yourself look like a desperate stalker!

I don’t know which is more pathetic. The fact that Ed cheated on all three women OR the fact that Jillian is making excuses for him.
If Jillian remains with Ed after all this, then she’s one desperate and pitiful person who has only herself to blame when Ed hurts her again and again.
Shanna Lynn, I wholeheartedly agree with your comment about which is more pathetic. I am shocked that Jillian is trying to make excuses for him. This reflects poorly for young women who may have looked up to her. As for Ed, I knew he was not a man or high character right away so this does not shock me on his part.
Jillian, if you read this, please know that you deserve better, much better than this man or any man like him for that matter.

I glad Ed is busted. I don’t know what any woman would see in him. He is not attractive, shady as hell and I could tell he was full of it when he was on TB.
If these rumors are true, why would:
1. he involve his family and bring them to Hawaii so Jillian can meet her.
2. he ask Jill’s father for Jillian’s hand and marry her?
3. he let Jillian live with him in Chicago?
4. he take Jillian to family reunions?
5. he take her out publicly to dinners, to the beach, shopping?
6. he ask her to join him in Las Vegas?
7. he go with Jillian to Canada for Tori’s wedding in August?
8. and lastly, why would he go back to the show if his intent is just for fame, money and publicity.

PS: Why would a woman take her “supposed” boyfriend to the airport knowing that he wiil be vying to win the heart of some woman. Also, the texts seem “slutty’, and written with no sense of love, or like, at all. If I was Bethany or Lindsay, I would feel so embarrassed getting those type of texts from my boyfriend.
I don’t understand why these girls have to go public with their gripes. Why would someone supposedly intelligent drive her boyfriend to the airport so he could participate in a dating show? The most plausible explanation _ she no longer had a claim on his affection. And why would she allow her boyfriend to write those ’slutty’ messages to her? And I believe they got paid for their story, wow! So their pride or self-esteem is just worth a few $$$$$? How pathetic!

OK I have several comments for the other comments on here.
First of all, Alexess, Lindsey has moved on, she is dating someone else, she told her story because this was the only way to get the message out to Jillian NOT to trust ED.
Second of all, agniec, it says right in the story that Ed told Lindsey he was going to Texas on business, not back to the show. So that is why she drove him to the airport.
Third of all, thechef and angiec, my boyfriend and I send similar “slutty’ text and email messages to each other, it doesn’t mean we don’t love each other. We’ve been together for three years. There is nothing wrong with mixing a little lust with love.
The reason I know so much about Lindsey is because I am in a golf league with her mother and we’ve been hearing about this for months. I don’t know about this Bethany girl, but since I know that the stuff about Lindsey is true, I have to assume the stuff about her is true too.
Also, I agree that it’s kinda sad that Jillian is defending a man that she really doesn’t know. I mean, the point of the show is to win, and I doubt that anyone is really who they say they are on TV. But I also understand that she probably needs to look like she made the right decision. She probably knows the truth, deep down, but has to deny it so it looks as if she made the right choice on TV. I kinda felt bad for her until I saw her interview on Good Morning America today and she was defending him and saying that Lindsey was a liar.

i Agree with TJ. I don’t understand why everyone is surprised. Nothing good really comes out of these so called reality shows.
People on all the boards are counting Ed guilty. I have grave cobcerns for the obvious 2 scorned ones who elected to make a quick dollar and do everything within their means to humiliate Ed and destoy Jillian. A quick reply to Laura’s reply: I don’t believe everything I read, I know what I know first hand. I know Lindey’s mother, that is how I know that Ed was with her before, and during the show. If it were any other reality couple, I wouldn’t care, I have never, EVER watched a reality dating show in my life. Including this one. I didn’t watch any of it, I just heard all about it from her mother.

US Weekly approached the girls with the story they were going to publish without their side of the story or any direct quotes and it was filled with errors. Instead of letting the lies go to press, the girls agreed to give their stories. This is how US Weekly works. They scare people into selling their stories by showing them a version of the article that they fabricate through rumors and “tips” people give them. Why people are shocked that this magazine made everyone look bad is beyond me. These magazines will ruin anyone in their path to sell a few mags.
The facts I know through parties that are involved (I don’t know all parties involved and I am sure there is much more to the story than I know, but reading the slander of all 3 girls makes me want to clarify where I can):
Ed was in a serious relationship with Lindsay for 7 years and dated Bethany for a few months prior to taping, while still managing to date Lindsay on and off, as well. This all happened right up until the show started. Bethany knew he was going on the show and their dating ceased when he made the final decision that he would be a contestant. As most people know, just because a guy hurts a girl (or multiple girls in this case) doesn’t mean she makes the best decisions (which, in my opinion, would have been cutting him out completely) right away. Not many girls are strong enough to completely sever ties with a guy that hurt them if they cared about him deeply. Not to mention, when dating a charmer, I have seen many smart girls make dumb decisions. For Lindsay, I can only imagine how hard it is to watch a guy that still says he loves you after dating for 7 years go on this show and propose to someone else. For Bethany, being left after 4 months to go on a reality dating show couldn’t have been easy either. Trying to warn another nice girl (Jillian) of a guy who repeatedly manipulates girls is truly a favor to the current girlfriend. I’m sure if either ex could have gotten face time with Jillian and not exposed this publicly, they would have. This is embarrassing for everyone and certainly wouldn’t have happened had the magazine not whipped up this story and then made the girls feel pressure to talk or “live with what is printed.” If Ed had changed (meaning if he had not texted, slept with and lied to his current fiance and ex girlfriends) I am sure nobody would have stepped forward. This isn’t about either girl being a jealous ex, but instead, hurt and concerned that he is cheating and leading a double/triple life and damaging three girls in the process. His behavior should not to be condoned.
I really don’t think Ed is a terrible person, either. He has made some very bad decisions, though and as a result has hurt three nice women. He is no different than many men who make most of their decisions with the head down below and not the one up top. I hope all involved just remove themselves from the situation going forward. Jillian is a good girl and won’t have trouble finding a guy without the help of a TV show. I hope she finds an honest man of upstanding character next time.
I hope everyone can stop negatively commenting on these people as they are all real people and you wouldn’t want these kinds of comments being discussed about you by total strangers.
Maybe this is why Ed couldnt “perform” in the fantasy suite, he was too worn out from cheating.

When you decide to put your lives on national tv for whatever reasons, it comes with a package- people are going to talk about you whether you like it or not.
We the viewers are entitled to our own opinions whether negative or positive.
I have no idea why anyone will want to be featured in a reality tv series, but oh well whatever floats your boat.

I totally agree with you. I have been saying this all along. Jillian is among the dirtiest, most narcissistic, sleazy bachelorettes of all time, but I think she and Ed are a match.
The entire time on this show, Jillian acted like a sl*t. The leg wrapping and spreading was just one of many examples. Why are we surprised that a woman of her caliber chose a man like Ed’s.
Also, Ed is a man who uses women. He told ABC, he picked her as a wife as he couldn’t imagine a woman as “hot” as her wanting him. The interpretation to that is that he just wants her for one thing — to use. Jillian readily allows herself to be used and has no sense of self respect.
I hate to say this, but I can’t have any sympathy for these other women. Why were they sleeping around so freely outside of wedlock? Why would they want a man who makes it so blatantly clear he is just using them? His emails communicate that he just wants one thing from them. There is no chance that a decent woman woudl date Ed.
Jillian even said she liked him as he was a “funny drunk” and she enjoyed his sexual antics.
I wonder why it has taken so many people so long to be made aware of the true colors of these people. On the boards, most said they loved Ed all along as he was considered the most “mature.” However, he has posted films of himself drunk while his friends fart on crackers on YouTube adn oiling up Jillian as if he were in a soft porn movie.
Jillian has behaved like a druken slut the whole time — from the leg wrapping, butt slapping, invitations to men to look up her skirt, sleeping around, etc.
JIll uses her body to manipulate men and considers her power to be that she is a woman who can use her parts to get and keep a guy. (Gee..what woman can’t…?) She acts like an animal. There is e ven something repitilian about the way she keeps thrusting her tounge out, like she just fornicates any male who moves.
She is a sleazy woman who slept around on Ed. Why would she be bothered that Ed was sleeping around on her? They are one and the same.
Yet, ironically, Jillian thinks she is intelligent and that she is demosntrating her good judge of character and that people are actually proud of her, Does this woman have any clue? People are making fun of her everywhere. She has no respect or esteem anywhere and she just jokes it all away…”Yes I am a sl*t and proud of it.” For a while her family was even posting on the board suggesting that Jillian be given her own TV show. Yuck.
Funny, I was viciously attacked for calling Jillian and Ed “swingers” on the ABC message board. How much more are people willing to accept from these two. They are a terrible example to others and make a mockery of love, marriage, and relationships.

I agree with your every word as well. The last reality show I watched was the Batchelor with the Doctor from Nashville, who picked a school teacher, think her name was Sarah. Fast forward to 2009 and I accidently end up on ABC watching this soft porn crap, the show before she makes her pick. I could not believe my eyes and considered filing a complaint with the FCC for the vulgarity and risqué’. This was NOT cable, this was ABC!
It just makes me sick that people think this is real TV…and this behavior is acceptable. IT IS NOT; DIRTY WHORES, TRAMPS, SLUTS, SLEAZE act like this. IF you want to get ahead in LIFE, this is not the way you want to behave. MEN DO NOT LIKE WHORES TO BE THEIR WIFE, and that check will cash at any bank.

I saw through Ed way back at the beginning and hated him when he left the first time. I thought it was fishy. I knew his “job” excuse was a lie. He came back for one reason, ego. And, the show probably paid for his parents Hawaii trip (which I also really thought was fishy). He always seemed cold and distant and gawky. then I didn’t trust his sudden attentiveness, etc. She always had poor judgment, look at all the time she wasted on Wes. With all her probes and constant questioning of poor third place person, I forgot his name already. What was that all about. Why was she always giving him the third degree. He was the most honest one. She actually looked good physically with him. I was hoping she wouldn’t pick Ed, but remember she is a terrible judge of character, of course she would pick the wrong person. Kypton was gorgeous, classy, you name it. I feel sorry for her, she tried too hard but is really not that bright.

I believe Ed is TOTALLY GUILTY. He went on the show for fun, free trips, perks and Hollywood exposure.
He is a total player and I feel he has no respect for women as he was leading on three women at once. And yes, for a fleeting moment he played around with the idea that Gillian would make a good wife so he proposed to her; afterall it wouldnt cost him anything and he could always get out of it. I would ahve roasted him too, jealous or not, scorned or not, I WOULD HAVE ROASTED HIM for pulling the wool over my eyes and making a fool out of me and using me. So, in my opinion his exes haven’t done anything wrong—–HE HAS. No one likes to be made a fool of, lied to and used; so why not teach him a lesson?
As for Gillian, she is a nice person, sweet, smart, kind hearted—however she is naive and she tends to see the best in people and she takes everyone at face value. Unfortunately she gets burned by doing this when dealing with dishonest people such as Ed and Wes. She is looking for love and has a very open heart and she is just too trusting and doesnt know where to draw the line/when to protect herself; and that’s what her shortfall is.
What Ed has done according to the time lines is UNACCEPTABLE and I hope Gillian gives him the boot as she deserves so much better.
