Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Camille Grammer Files for Divorce

The Bravo Housewives curse has struck again.

TMZ confirms Camille Grammer, star of the yet to debut Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has filed for divorce from actor Kelsey Grammer, 55, her husband of 14 years.

Camille, 41, a former Playboy model, is citing irreconcilable differences. She is also seeking primary physical custody of their daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5, as well as spousal support.

What makes this divorce filing odd however is the fact that the couple was pictured together (see above pic) at the Tony Awards just 2 weeks ago on June 13th. The couple have been married since August 1997 and their two children were both born via a surrogate due to Camille’s problems with Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Camille, who also goes by Camille Donatacci, is currently filming for the first season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Filming started back in March.

As we reported last week, Catherine Ashley Ommanney of the Real Housewives of DC has also recently separated from her husband.

TELL US: IS THERE A BRAVO CURSE? IS THE HOUSEWIVES SERIES PARTIALLY TO BLAME FOR THE DEMISE OF THESE MARRIAGES?

  1. A curse, no.

Believing their own infamy shall be their rightfully own gem.

Eva, I agree. There is no BRAVO CURSE!!!! These women are just believing their own hype. That’s it.

  3. No, I think the big D’ was already coming. The HWs just use the show (their new job) to move on….whether it’s for branding, looking for the next one or just to have fun

  4. Oh, and it did save a marriage, well IMO, Vicki’s. I think she saw how badly she treated Don on tele & how fans responded that made her come around to her senses

  5. @4 Oh Yeah..I think you are right about that.

To answer your question R.T., No i don’t think Bravo is to blame.

  6. Oh my Oh Yeah,

If I hear “Branding” one more F*c**ng time, I may not be so f*c**ng NICE!!

    *Heavy SIGH*

  7. @ Eva
    is ‘celebrity’ endorsement better? ;’)

  8. @Oh Yeah,

    Ya had to go there!!!

    GRRrrrr….

I dont think there is a curse. I just think the women that go on the show are bored housewives that probably already have a strained relationship and are just looking for something to fill the void.

And P.S. I CAN NOT WAIT for this one. Beverly Hills much, much more interesting than DC, dont you think?

No curse. Most of the divorces would likely happen whether these women appeared on the shows or not. Maybe the show just gives them a faster way to get out (ie income and opportunities).

Tamra on OC said she knew her and Simon were not going to make it (then she got pregnant and stayed–or rather delayed leaving, since she has now left him). But the point is–she said she knew they were not going to make it 5 years before the split and she only stayed because of their youngest child. The show didn’t cause the split.

Also agree it saved Vicki’s marriage–hope she is still treating Don well!

  11. Money can buy u a new life.
The RH shows give the women much exposure to pursue / expand careers.
If there was a crack in their marriages, the RH shows only perpetuate the inevitable.

    Divorces thus far:

    Tamra – OC (yes)
    Nene – ATL (yes)
    LuAnn – NY (yes)
    Dina – NJ ???
    Ashley – DC (separated)
    Camille – BH (filed)

  12. I think it is interesting that some people blame reality shows for ruined their relationships or marriages. I don’t think reality shows are at fault at all. They’re the ones who have had problems before they got on reality shows. They should stop blaming reality shows for “ruined” their lives and they asked for it. Duh!

  13. TMZ gives a bit of a hint or 2 of why this marriage may be over.

In no way do I believe there is a curse. Each issue that may plague a housewife cannot be solely blamed on a reality tv show. I agree~the cracks in marriages, friendships, etc had to
already exist, even if not acknowledged.

So, now DC and BH have 2 new separations. Yawns…

@11…you forgot about DeShawn Snow from Atlanta.

  15. I agree with the other posters in that the show is not the cause of divorce that most of these marriages had other problems and maybe being on a show helped speed it along. As far as branding, what a croc! If I hear one of these faux wanna be celebutards say “I’m a brand” I’m gonna hurl~! Everyone from Bethenny, Ramona, Kim K, Kate +8 they all think they are a brand?! What ever happened with just getting a good ‘ol job that paid your bills?

  16. They are right they are a brand A BRAND OF FRICKING LOOSERS

  17. Bravo needs to put a ban on all of these housewives, from pushing their products on their shows. From skincare, books, jewelry etc, it’s just too much. These women have turned the “housewives” shows into giant commercials. Some women are worse than others with their “brands”, but with 2 more shows starting up, I can’t take anymore. Let them buy commercial time on Bravo like everyone else with something to sell.

And no, RT, I don’t believe there is a curse. I do think, however, that being on a reality show gives these women a sense of empowerment/confidence to move on from a marriage that has already gone south.

  18. A surrogate because of irritable bowel syndrome? Does this sound weird to anyone else?

  19. Lck, very interesting perspective you have about the show making the women feel empowered enough to leave.

  20. Eva, I concur! I’m sick of this branding crap and the tired old jokes. We need some new material that doesnt include endlessly recycled jokes (which the perpetrators confuse with wit) and hawking of wares! I’m sick of it!

Dyana, may I have a refill?

  21. another skank. lovely.

  22. Can’t stand women who claim to be “blind sided” by a divorce – you have to be emotionally absent from the relationship to have that happen & not notice it coming – hence the divorce!

Anytime a door closes – another one open. This woman needs to forward – it’s the only direction. Can’t cry over spilt milk, what peopled to you is their karma, how you react is yours.

Go Argentina! – random I know, i’m watching the world cup!

  23. So many typos, I apologize, trying to post from the good old Ipad.

  24. I cannot believe that I have watched these shows! Honestly, I need to get a life! Please ladies, do not buy anything that these people sell.

They will do ANYTHING to get famous! I cannot stand to hear Bethenny talk about all her “brand” and products and money-making. And no, I am not jealous. They prey into our own insecurities about our weight, skin, etc.

I used to enjoy RHWOC when it was more about real women. Now, I cannot stand the whole fake drama.

  26. @20 Pixie,

    AMEN!!!

    love u tink ;)

  27. I have never seen so many fake wannabeeeeeeees in my life, broke pretending to be wealthy, marriages crumbling, super over injected lips, old looking faces trying to look young but not!!! All in all it’s really sad. Why does someone need 4 nannys I mean really take care of your own kids. As it stands Camille was not able to keep her man at home even with all that plastic and injections at least know your children!!!!

Bravo brings the curse. That curse, which Bravo delivers to their RHW franchises, is that of being bestowed an unequal distribution of pseudo-fame to the typically female half of the couples featured on their RHW shows. That faux-fame, rapidly gained, goes to the heads of some fast seeming to ruin more than just a few marriages and relationships.

Let’s not feel bad for Camille or blame Bravo. Their marriage was over before RHW of BH even aired. While I DO NOT condone cheating (Kelsey) after watching Camille and her attitude and antics around her friend NIck I don’t blame Kelsey for ending it. However, get a divorce before you impregnate another woman, my god Kelsey you have other children at least show some respect for them,They are the victims all because you and Camille couldn’t keep it together, Grow up! P.S. About Camille and her friend Nick

Sorry hit the button: getting back to Camille and her (married) friend Nick. Everytime Camille goes to kiss him goodbye on the cheek to me it Always looks like she is headed for his lips but then remembers that the cameras are there. It all seems a little strange. Camille needs to stay away from Nick and any other married men, doesn’t she know how it feels to be cheated on, why would she do that to someone else’s wife. I wouldn’t trust her ladies of Beverly Hills
