A day after news broke that Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend Brooks Ayers was a deadbeat dad who owed a ton in child support, Vicki is now claiming she was not aware of Brooks’ child support issues.
Brooks, pictured above in the mugshot obtained by Reality Tea, was arrested on August 29 (under the name David Brooks Ayers), and taken to the Lee County Jail in Mississippi for failure to pay over $40,000 in child support to two different women. That arrest was reportedly Brooks’ second arrest in 2010 for the same issue. The arrest record also lists Brooks’ age as 43.
The Rumor Fix blog was able to get a statement from Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki, 48, about the latest revelation regarding her boyfriend. “I had no idea,” claims Vicki.
It gets even better as Vicki, who was just gushing about Brooks on the recent OC reunion show, then goes on to downplay her relationship with him. “I’ve only just started dating this guy, we’ve had like three dates. I don’t know about any of it,” added Vicki.
There is however just one major problem with Vicki’s statements. See, court documents prove she was absolutely aware of Brooks’ child support issues. In fact, RadarOnline obtained a hand-written letter Vicki wrote to a Mississippi judge last year in August following Brooks’ most recent arrest.
In the letter, signed by Vicki herself, she makes a direct reference to Brooks’ child support case. An excerpt from the letter is below -
“I am a personal friend of (David) Brooks Ayers and am acting on his behalf at this time. He was arrested last night on a child support arrearage order, that was unknown to him and currently is in the Lee County Jail.”
So how can Vicki now say she had no idea? The letter by Vicki was written on August 30, 2010 (two months before she filed for divorce), and also the same time Bravo was filming the 6th season of the OC Housewives, you know, the same season Vicki bashed Slade Smiley once or twice for not paying child support.
That irony is not lost on Gretchen Rossi who has been heavily criticized by Vicki and her BFF Tamra Barney for dating Slade (who also has child support issues). Gretchen definitely had some choice words for both Vicki and Tamra yesterday. Below are some of the tweets by Gretchen -

Vicki will constantly tell you she is working, she has to work or how many responsibilities she has on her plate. She looks down upon the other housewives because she feels they do not work at all, mostly because none of them work in the exact manner she does. Vicki makes it clear that if you do not see work as she does that you will never be successful. At times she hints that indeed you have no worth if you do not think and do exactly as she does.
Work is everything to her, coming before her relationships with friends, her husband Donn and even her children. When her daughter Brianna needed a biopsy for a possible cancer her very first reaction to it was that she had a meeting scheduled that day. I cannot imagine that even occurring to me in that moment personally. In Vicki’s defense she ultimately worked it out and went with Brianna. I will say though if your first inclination is to think of work rather than the well being of your child, clearly you have an issue.
Vicki raises her children with these ideals as well, she rigidly believes they should always do everything exactly right, according to the rules. When Brianna missed one bill Vicki freaked out, making the kids attend a financial seminar. It was complete with lectures about responsibility and doomsday scenarios for any mistakes along the way. She had a point, as she always does, but the manner in which she went about it was completely overboard.
Vicki recently broke up a friendship with Jeana. Most of her issues with her were money based. It seemed to start when Jeana was supporting her ex husband, which Vicki clearly did not approve of. She seems to feel that there is a fundamental defect in people who cannot behave as she does financially or in regards to work. It is unreasonably rigid.
Vicki also has had a lot of difficulties with other castmates. Whenever someone does something that is not right in Vicki’s mind, she judges. She especially does not like any signs of dependence on a partner. Lynne, Alexis, Tamra and Gretchen have all been called out by Vicki for being too dependent on the men in their lives. Vicki does not seem to be at all dependant on Donn, in fact she goes overboard and barely ever includes the poor man in her life at all. I think any sign of neediness in herself at all makes Vicki completely uncomfortable.
Overall I feel Vicki Gunvalson meets enough of the criteria of Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder for my assertion of it as a diagnosis.

This was really surprising to me! I’m not a Vicky fan, but I did think she had some class. It’s obvious she was cheating on Donn since this is the man she met at the pool in Cabo who “looked just like Donn”. I do believe Tamra was an influence, but she’s a grown woman. Even though I find Slade disgusting, who is Vicky to judge him, when her new man owes to two different women? Very foolish move to throw away her marriage, b/c EVERY marriage is work. Her stupid “love tank” will be empty, and hopefully Donn will have moved on to better.
Unless she is completely desperate Vicki better drop this zero he is bad news on every level and not a good look for her business. I can totally see Vicki ‘keeping’ a man and taking care of him but can she at least find one who isn’t an ex convict?

I just watched a rerun of the reunion (which was only taped a couple of weeks ago) and Vicki was GUSHING about Brooks, even went as far to say her love tank was full. Even tranny tamra chimed in about “what a great guy he is”.
Yet both of them are so silent now. Talk about lying hypocrites.

I too don’t think she’d cheat but she seems like a very weak and broken woman despite her constant reminders about being so successful. I think she’d be flattered if ANY man showed her attention and if said man happened to catch her on a night where she threw back too many, well……..
If Vicki “revered” marriage she would not have treated Don like shit repeatedly and would have actually worked at her marriage.
