Well, I’m excited to finally report some positive news concerning Teresa Giudice’s finances!
As you recall, on Monday the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s husband, Joe Giudice withdrew his bankruptcy filing after controversy over allegations the Giudices had lied about their assets and income at the time of filing. Joe was at risk of facing criminal prosecution related to bankruptcy fraud. Teresa still potentially faces those charges, as she has yet to withdraw her filing, although sources report she is planning to.
Now, onto the positive! In a new interview for PEOPLE, Teresa’s attorney Jim Kridel reports “Teresa and Joe are happy about this,” and Teresa feels ” ‘vindicated’ to be voluntarily paying her remaining debts rather than have them discharged in bankruptcy court. (They will move to settle the case later this week.).” Wait – what?! Did I read that correctly?! Why, yes, yes I did.
Mr Kridel continues “Teresa has always wanted to be able to say that she paid her creditors.” The Giudices however had a hard time doing that as they owed a seemingly insurmountable amount of money related to multiple mortgages on several inner city apartment buildings, bills for building materials, and the balances on their various credit cards which accumulated to about $11M in debt according to their bankruptcy filing.
“Almost all the debt in the bankruptcy was Joe’s debt,” Kridel claims. Apparently, the smaller debts and credit card bills, which totaled around $100,000, were attributed to Teresa, and her lavish spending and out of control need for anything covered in glitter, lace, or marble, who “wanted to pay,” however once the Giudices filed bankruptcy their creditors were not allowed to be paid “preferentially.”
The article explains that as of now several of the banks have been repaid from the sale of the apartment buildings listed as a liability in their bankruptcy filing and Joe has also paid the $586,000 claim against him from his former business partner through a building’s sale; leaving the Giudice’s remaining debts “within a manageable range.”
With her many business ventures (including a make-up line and bottled cocktail) Teresa is no longer completely broke. Teresa “may not be able to pay all [her creditors] with one check, but she can pay them back. She wants to do the right thing,” her lawyer articulates. No word if Joe is currently employed, but at least his wife is bringing home the bacon and attempting to spend it wisely!
According to Kridel, who gave this interview with dollar signs in his eyes, “The cost of litigation might exceed what she owes.” Well, hopefully they won’t default on that bill…

Do you believe Teresa that she wants to repay her debts? Are you as shocked as I am that she supposedly wants to do the right thing? If Teresa does, in fact, repay her creditors the old-fashioned way would this give you a more positive opinion of her?
If tre gets a cooking show it’ll be on the sci-fi network. she is spaced out, don’t think she really can cook.

If you really wanted to post on here it might have been a good idea not to insult posters on here telling them to get a life, kind of makes you look angry.

Well people I hate to say it but I have to go do yard work.I would pay someone to do it if I could afford it but I know what my finances are like unlike teresa and joe would would probably promise to pay the yard crew and then renig.LOL

Suzie, yes, Teresa still has her facebook. I haven’t liked it even though I am a fan. I don’t want people in my “normal” life to know that I like the housewives show. There are many negative comments on there…by people who apparently don’t care that their real friends know they look crazy.
Suzie-Thanks girl. We’re trying. I got divorced 2 years ago so I had to start all over from scratch. It’s been a process but it’s getting better.

Well, I am glad that Teresa and Joe are stepping up and paying their bills. Now maybe every time they go shopping on the show, there won’t be 500 posts on here about how they shouldn’t be shopping but paying their bills instead. I am proud of Tre and Joe for doing whatever needed to be done to make this whole thing right (as it can be considering). Around here the saying is, if I had to dig ditches to feed the family I would. Well, I think I would rather dig ditches than to put up with some of the barbs and jobs that they have had to in order to get this $. Couldnt handle it.

331 Really? They had 2 years to do the right thing and never did. Now at the 11th hour knowing they will go to jail they HAD to drop the bankruptcy case because they lied……that isn’t doing the right thing.
Joe thought he could get away with ripping off his business partner, thank goodness he has to pay him back.
Joe also thought he could get away with lying and using his brother’s driver’s license to get a fake license, more lying and cheating.
They thought they could file bankruptcy and walk away without paying what they owe and when it came time for jail time they had to withdraw because their lies caught up to them.
They have a history of lying and cheating, they are so incredibly stupid that they think they will not get caught but every time they do, it is laughable at this point.
Their shady actions really say it all. I feel bad that their daughters have 2 lying scumbags for parents, not exactly setting a good example for those girls.
Joe withdrew his Amended Bankruptcy Petition but they still could face criminal charges for lying about their assests on the original Bankruptcy Petition. You Know the one where they filed Tax Returns as proof of income with returns that weren’t really filed with the IRS. Liar, Liar!!!!! The only reason they did this interview is to try and spin the truth because everyone sees them for who they are and Tre can’t help herself by attempting to lie about what Joe did once again. They make me sick they are nothing but White Trash!
I am glad at least they are paying back their debts. 1/2 of which are legally Teresa’s in the state of NJ regardless of who bought what.
What I hate is that she just had a 2nd wedding at a cost of almost 100k. Did Bravo pay for that?

I admire for her for at least working hard to save her family. I do think though in less than a year they will get the boot from Bravo her makeup line and cocktail thing will tank because 2 or 3 housewives have done that & Bethaney is the only one that did well with it. Juicy fat Joe will keep getting liquored up & stupid (er) and will land himself in jail before too long. These 2 & their kids are destined to return to life in Patterson.

One thing I want to say is that often before obtaining more computer system memory, look into the machine within which it can be installed. When the machine is usually running Windows XP, for instance, the actual memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Using a lot more than this would merely constitute a new waste. one’s motherboard can handle the particular upgrade volume, as well. Interesting blog post.
