Oh, Melissa Gorga — relax. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is furious about all the allegations that she is an ex-stripper! So mad, in fact, she is threatening legal action against anyone who accuses her of dancing in her underwear — except while she’s performing “On Display,” I presume?
Retaliating against Angelo Vrohidis’ interview alleging that Melissa was a stripper at Lookers nightclub in Elizabeth, NJ; Melissa claims she can “prove” she was nothing of the sort by producing payroll sheets which list her as a “bar maid.” TMZ is reporting that Melissa’s lawyer obtained a “sworn affidavit” from club owner Chris Kontos that states Melissa “worked solely in the capacity as a bartender.” A copy of that affidavit is below.
The affidavit denies that Angelo ever managed Melissa, then Melissa Marco (her maiden name), during her part-time employment at Lookers and that her actual manager was named Larry Guarino, who previously stated: “She was a bartender for a couple of months years ago, it was such a short time. She was never ever a dancer.”
Melissa’s lawyer, James Leonard Jr, is warning the media and any would-be claimants that if they continue to besmirch Melissa’s reputation they will be sued! “At this time we are aggressively pursuing the commencement of litigation against any and all individuals, in any jurisdiction, who have or continue to disseminate false statements against Melissa Gorga.”
Apparently her quest for fame and the constant accusations about her past has taken its toll on Melissa’s marriage to Joe Gorga as she recently confessed to HollywoodLife, that it’s been stressful.
“This year, to be honest with you, I feel like there is a lot of stress from the show and being in the public eye,” Melissa revealed, while attending the Reeve Foundation Magical Evening Gala at NYC’s Cipriani Wall Street. ”All I want from my husband is to just… I just want to make sure we keep this bond that him and I have.”
“I don’t want to let anything or any person break it,” she added. “That to me is the most important thing because we had an amazing life before we entered this show. And we still do and I don’t want to let anything break it. I know this business can break you sometimes.” Perhaps she now understands how sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice feels…
Here’s my opinion: Melissa has a right to not want her past exposed, whether she is embarrassed that she worked in a strip club (in any capacity) or not or just doesn’t want people digging into her past, but she went on a national television show to expose her “real life” so she has to expect curiosity from the public beyond just what she wants us to see.
We know Melissa wants the world to view her as the happy and privileged wife of a prominent real estate developer, a loving mother, backstabbing sister-in-law and a hopeful singer — and we do see her that way, but like all of us Melissa has a past. Perhaps it’s a salacious past that she is ashamed of, perhaps not.
But here’s the thing, Melissa has no problem exposing, commenting on and discussing Teresa’s embarrassing moments, negative behaviors, family discord as well as financial issues to the media and the world. So is it really fair of her to demand that no one discuss her own situations? She didn’t mind when everyone was accusing Teresa of all sorts of misdeeds, but now she’s suing anyone who says something about her she doesn’t want to hear and getting into Twitter fights with people who don’t like her song? #JayMohr.
Melissa should let stripper-gate go. Drawing more and more attention to it pretty much guarantees that the media, the networks, the blogosphere are going to keep speculating about it. Melissa has a lot going for her and seems to have a pretty lovely life. She should focus on the positives. We know Melissa reads RT (she Tweeted that she loves it) so a little advice from me: the truth will come out whatever it is, so go practice singing and accept that you’re “On Display!”

Melissa admits to being a mess – but not a hot mess. Anyone who refers to her as a hot mess will be sued LOL. She has produced paystubs that state her position as Mess. Not Hot Mess.

I saw that, I think stoopid housewives had that on her site also a while back.. Do you really think it was Melissa that posted those comments or someone eles that knows/ knew the housewives? I really could have been anyone, I mean there was nothing that really stuck out to me, that it really was Melissa. Believe me I don’t like Melissa but I don’t want to blame her for this without knowing for sure, ya know?

1 thing I know for sure is Melissa will tell a lie in a New York min, the girl needs to run for public office. I don’t know if those blogs are Melissa but I wouldn’t put it past her either.

913rh205…See Melissa can’t seem to make an article without the implied reference of her sister-in-law. Kathy and Melissa attend a B-day and a fight breaks out. The bigger part of the news was the possiblity that Teresa was there. Turns out Teresa was no where near the party incident.
