Rumors of Jacqueline Laurita‘s wild Las Vegas life have plagued the Real Housewives of New Jersey star since Season One. Jacqueline has long denied the allegations that she was a stripper before moving to New Jersey, and her daughter Ashley Ashlee Holmes has even insisted they are false, but are they?
In Touch Weekly has just learned that Jacqueline was indeed a stripper at an illustrious and elegant establishment named the Glitter Gulch (a photo of the sign is below) — an off the strip joint that I’m sure is just as classy as Lookers ever was!
A former close friend of Jacqueline’s spoke to the mag and gave some pretty salacious details about the sweet-natured Housewives past. “She was a stripper at a Las Vegas club called the Glitter Gulch,” discloses the friend (some friend she is!). “She worked there from 1992 to 1993. Like all strip clubs, it was an awful place.”
“She was very young, she was newly divorced, and she was a single mother,” the friend reveals of Jacqueline’s decision to go into stripping.
In addition to her tumultuous past as a dancer, in 1996 Jacqueline was also arrested for assaulting her then live-in boyfriend! A different former friend tells the magazine that Jacqueline spent “several years” in a “volatile” relationship that culminated when she was arrested after she “slapped him in the face and punched him in the groin,” according to the police report!
“She go into an argument with her boyfriend because he came home later than he should have,” the report states. “She no longer wanted to speak to [him], so she went into the bedroom.” It also claims that the boyfriend “would not leave her alone and kept wanting to talk about why she was angry” which led to the aggression on her part.
Ashlee recently blogged about her mom’s alleged past and flat-out denies that their pre-Jersey life had anything to do with nudie bars. When asked by a fan she responded: “NO. Stereotype much? That rumor was actually started by Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub (go figure — LOL!). Jealousy is an UGLY thing. My mom was NEVER a stripper. She’s a cosmetologist.”
“The rumor actually started when people heard we moved to NJ from Vegas when my mom’s fiancé (Chris) was from Jersey. Teresa and Danielle just put it in the press knowing it wasn’t true to start a problem. I don’t think my Mom really cared. She thought it was kind of flattering that people could believe that. Haha. Only her right?”
Shockingly, Jacqueline has been keeping quiet on her Twitter page — for now — which is a first for the loquacious Twitter-holic. Hopefully Jacqueline is focusing on friends and family and enjoying the holiday, despite the bad news coming to light.
I have to say all in all this is a bad week for the ladies of Jersey. A lawsuit, an indictment and now an expose. Hopefully 2012 will bring better things for the most drama-filled Housewives of them all!

@304 Stripping is not a performance, it’s something anybody can do regardless of body type, have you not seen Jacqueline’s moves are awful, like that hookah nite with the wakiles, they aren’t dancing for money they are simply stripping for money if they got up there and actually just danced they wouldn’t get paid the whole point is to take your clothes off and turn somebody on pretty low if you ask me.

Winning a bikini contest (eight times) does not make you a stripper. Furthermore, she could have been in the bikini contest 20 years ago when she was 21. A bikini contest 20 years ago is totally different than a bikini contest now a days.
Also, I don’t believe she was a stripper. And, if she was, who cares. It didn’t hurt Nene ~ she appeared on Celebrity Apprentice.

Honestly??? If she was a stripper, who cares?? She was a single mother and that put food in her baby’s belly, good for her. I admire her. She has a good life now and that is in the past – she is a brilliant Mother – her patience with that brat of a child Ashley is deserving a the highest Medal of Honour !!
If I had to strip to put food in my baby’s belly, i would do it too – she was young and she did the best she could under the circumstances – NO HARM DONE. For those of you saying its ok that she was a stripper because she had a baby to feed have no moral compass! It is NOT ok to show your privates a bunch of filthy, horny men for money. There are loads of other jobs that you can find where you don’t have to lose your self respect and dignity. reading these post reminds me just how ignorant people can be. Nasty, mean, hateful and judgemental.
I don’t know one person who is perfect and has never done one thing that they regret. Until you are in anothers persons shoes, you don’t know what you would do. If you have never been in the situation, count your blessings.
Personally, I think the most offensive person on the show is Thereasa, but that’s just my oppinion. I wish her well and hope she gets help (and gets rid of that husband of hers).
Those who say “so what thats what she did a long time ago”…why? They burned Danielle at the stake for being a stripper back then and at least Danielle owned her stripper past. Jacquline needs to own up to it move on!

Yes, I believe Teresa is behind the rumor and the problems it caused. She doesn’t do well in the light of day, but operates in the shadows instead. Typical.
I should add that Teresa is angry and embarrassed about her financial situation and is jealous of the other women whose lives are more stable than hers. She ends up acting out because of the jealousy and to keep herself in the middle of things. She’s a mess.

What will Jacqueline do now that her husband does not work and filed for bankruptcy? As for stripper–anything is possible. I think Jacqueline is/was wild and has not been a good mother to Ashley. I also think Ashley could write a book that would shock us all about Jacqueline.
