New Rumors Surrounding Your Favorite Reality Shows!

There are some changes coming on some of your favorite reality shows.  From Michael Phelps to P. Diddy, and NeNe Leakes to Kendra Bell, read on to find out what’s rumored to be happening on some of your guiltiest pleasures!

Whether you love her or hate her, you have to admit that Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes knows how to manage her career.  She turned her gig on RHOA to a guest starring spot on Glee, which in turn led to scoring a recurring role on an upcoming sitcom.  Back when Kim Zolciak was filming Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, there were rumors that NeNe was jealous for not getting her own spin-off.  Well, it turns out she has had one in the works…I Dream of NeNe (amazing name, by the way).  According to the Examiner, NeNe is the one who pulled the plug on the series because she felt at that time she wouldn’t be able to carry her own show.  Apparently, NeNe did get a patent on the title, so the show could come to fruition in the future.  Right now, she just wants to focus on her budding acting career.  I guess good things do come to those who wait!

The same site also reports that Kenya Bell may not be returning for another season of Basketball Wives.  I can’t say I blame her after getting a bottle thrown at her head and being the brunt of most of the jokes on her debut season.  While Kenya credits the show with helping her career, she’s uncertain about coming back to play with the mean girls.  She says, “I must admit that the first season was very difficult. The girls were very hard on me and my music. But at the end of the day people know that I have talent now and the show has opened doors for me. Believe it or not, I’ve also made some great friends on the show.”

Kenya continues, “As I was contemplating whether or not to do the show someone told me that some television is better than no television. It was great advice. Reality TV is what’s hot now and it’s exciting to have been a part of this new era of television. Whether I do it again next year is up in the air.”  I notice that she didn’t say whether she was even asked back…

Speaking about a show that has had a lot of speculation recently, Ace Showbiz reports that P. Diddy’s name was recently thrown in the hat among a beaucoup of other artists as a potential judge on American Idol.  The show needs some new blood and recently confirmed Mariah Carey will be a judge after Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler called it quits…or were fired, depending on who you believe.

With the Olympics coming to a close, how are we going to get our fix of all the wonderful athletes we’ve grown accustomed to seeing everyday?  Why, Dancing With the Stars, of course!  Several former medalists have tried their hand at the mirror ball trophy.  Ryan Lochte has expressed an interest in doing the show, and he’s even challenged teammate Michael Phelps to continue their friendly competition on the dance floor.  Phelps isn’t ruling that out either.  The record-breaking medalist tells Us Weekly,  “I haven’t really been known for my dancing. I know everyone who’s done it – I’ve talked to [speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno] and [swimmer Natalie Coughlin] about it, and they said they’ve enjoyed it and had a blast. I won’t say I’m ruling anything out, who knows?”
