Ratings wise, season one of Married to Medicine ended well. Friendships wise, however, the season ended horribly. Even though Bravo focused mainly on the drama between Toya Bush-Harris and Mariah Huq, I believe it was Kari Wells and Mariah's friendship that suffered the most in the end.
Following the season finale, Kari and Mariah blogged about the lasting effects of Married to Medicine on their friendship.
"For the entire season I have endured the wrath of Mariah and her family," blogged Kari. "I cannot help but wonder what it could have been like for me had I always agreed with her ways, no matter what, as Quad did. Quad was concerned that Mariah considers herself connector of the ladies … so Quad worries that speaking out against Mariah will have a negative impact on her."

Kari feels as if she chose the "correct" path over the "easy" path, adding, "I choose to never compromise my values or integrity over money or fame for that matter."
"I have long since forgiven Mariah for all of the differences that we had during the season," Kari shared. "We both made mistakes. I believe I have since owned up to all of mine."
Kari reminded us that she feels as if Mariah suffers from a mental disorder, marked by a long-term pattern of distrust and suspicion of others. "I tried over an over to be nice to Mariah, I apologized many times, but when someone is mentally ill, it is hard for them to see things clearly using a broken tool (their mind). I am convinced that she has paranoid personality disorder. This is not a joke or a catty put down, I truly believe it is something that she suffers from and should seek help for."
In response, Mariah blogged, "You fire up the laptop to come up with a diagnosis for me? Just because we're married to doctors doesn't mean that we can practice medicine or offer medical opinions. Instead of researching multiple personality disorders to discuss me, perhaps you should have read the definition of delusional for yourself."
"As much as I hate the situation that took place at your home six months ago, I'm over it," added Mariah. "Both my husband and I apologized to you and Duncan so quite frankly I'm not sure what else you want. Why are you still so angry with me?"
Fired up over Kari's claim that she gossiped about Quad's arrest, Mariah wrote, "You are truly on a crusade to assassinate my character … It’s actually pathetic that you would say that we had that conversation regarding Quad. I don’t discuss any of my friends’ personal affairs with you or anyone else. That's not my style. In fact, I never confided in you about my personal affairs; so whatever you’ve learned, it's by way of gossip or your favorite resource, Google."
What happens from here? Kari wrote that she's done with Mariah, as she has proven that she's not a true friend, and will not be a part of another "circus" involving her.
"Mariah has NOTHING that I want, and I wish her the best in her self-proclaimed Queen B role," added Kari. "I have a wonderful successful life, and I inspire and teach others on how to have one with my Business of Living. I surround myself with people who bring joy into my world not hate. It is quite simple really to be my friend, just be nice. Peace is easy to make, you just have to be willing to forgive."
While Kari reflected on healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, Mariah focused on the show itself.
"It was fitting that the last gathering took place at my home since that is where this journey begun," Mariah shared. "While some may not like it, best believe that I’m not going anywhere! And I’m not going to allow two bad apples to ruin the whole bunch. I’d much prefer to throw out the rotten ones and go pick new, ripe, shiny apples with A LOT more nutrients and A LOT less defects!"
Sounds like Mariah wants Toya and Kari off her show. Color me not surprised. Coincidentally, Purveyors of Pop recently tweeted, "NOW CASTING Doctors Wives and Female MDs in ATLANTA for HIT DOCU-SERIES!"
Part one of the Married to Medicine reunion special airs tonight. Bravo's press release: The ladies discuss everything from the altercation between Mariah and Toya, arrest records, and deceiving divas. Also, pulses peak when a surprise guest crashes the party.
