Michael Wainstein Moves Back In With Jules Wainstein; More Divorce Details

Jules Wainstein and Michael Wainstein divorce

I cannot help feeling bad for Jules Wainstein. She has been going through a brutal divorce from Michael Wainstein and on top of all that drama, word has gotten out that Jules will not be a cast member on Real Housewives of New York next season.

At this point, I would like to think that life can only get better from here for Jules, but the hits keep coming. In a separation that included accusations of infidelity against Michael, police involvement, and difficult negotiations for spousal and child support, I feel so awful for the Wainstein family, especially the kids. Now, Michael is moving back into the home, which seems pretty wild since Jules had a restraining order against Michael.

In the most recent divorce update, People reports that the temporary restraining order Jules had against Michael has been lifted so he can move back into their apartment with their children, Jagger and Rio, who are 5 and 3 years old respectively.

I’m all for the two kids having both parents around, but that’s only if the situation is peaceful. It seems like there is so much contention between the two of them, so I have no idea if that’s possible, but I am really pulling for Michael and Jules to get it together for the kids.

So how is this living arrangement going to work? It is a major jump to go from having court ordered distance between two people to them inhabiting the same apartment. According to E!, the Wainstein residence has more than one floor. This means that Michael will be able to live/work on the second floor and Jules will be permitted on the third and fourth floors of the building.

I figured there would be shared space in the residence for Michael and Jules to interact with the children, but that doesn’t seem to be the case since “each will have exclusive access to those parts of the home for now.”

In accordance with the restraining order getting lifted, the judge told Jules and Michael to maintain a “respectful distance, especially for the children’s sake, which needs to be their primary concern. If everyone stays where they need to go, that will be better for everyone.”

I hate to bring this up, but I have to just put it out there that I am so surprised that Jules is not returning to Real Housewives of New York with all of this salacious scandal going on, but then again, I have to assume that she is either not allowed to publicly discuss the legal matters or that she just doesn’t want the drama to be heightened by the cameras. I feel like a terrible person saying this, but it definitely would have made for some great television.

Let’s hope that these two are able to work out a harmonious living situation for the sake of their children and their own sanity.
