Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Phaedra Parks Talks Dating And More On The Real

TR3042_0218

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks was the latest RHOA cast member to co-host this week on The Real. Phaedra shared some insights into her experiences working in a funeral home, what’s new in her love life and more.

Phaedra shared that Mr. President, who is now 3 years old, had some issues last Halloween and decided that this year he wanted a totally unique costume so nobody else can copy it! “Last year Mr. President, my baby, had a Halloween meltdown so this year he said he’s going as a plant. He said ‘no one will have my costume if I’m just a plant’.”

Loni Love asks Phaedra about her divorce from Apollo Nida and if she’s ready for a new relationship yet.  “Well, you know, I’m not man crazy.  But, you know, anyone that knows me, watches our show, knows I have several jobssssss, you know, so….”  She continues, “What’s most important is being a great mother and I know that whoever dates me has to date my two sons as well. I just gotta make sure, I’m not opposed to dating, but I want to make sure it’s the right man.  A God-fearing man, one that will love them as much as me.  So, I’m going to take my time.”

The ladies ask Phaedra questions about her job as a mortician. They all agree it’s a little freaky that a growing trend is to position the deceased on motorcycles, standing in the corner, etc., instead of lying down in a coffin. Phaedra says she doesn’t do “wild” things like that right now. “I like to keep it simple. To me a funeral is the final party, a home-going celebration so I like to make people look good.” Phaedra says she does it all: embalming, lashes, nails, makeup, etc.

Loni asks Phaedra about the weirdest thing she’s seen so far. “Well, everybody’s quiet. It’s so peaceful. Because I love it so much it’s never weird to me. If you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing and everything’s right. But, you might get someone passing a little gas.”

What has Phaedra learned from working with the dead? “When you see people coming in there from all walks of life – young, old, rich, poor – you realize how important every day is because you don’t know when you’re going to take your last breath. You have to make sure you’re treating people right. You eulogize yourself every day by your actions and your words.”

TELL US – DO YOU THINK WE’LL EVENTUALLY SEE PHAEDRA DATING AGAIN ON RHOA? OR WILL SHE KEEP IT HUSH-HUSH?
