TMZ is confirming that a deal has finally been struck between the cast of Jersey Shore and MTV.
All the cast members are expected to return. According to TMZ, Vinny, Ronnie and JWoww accepted the $10,000 per episode offer. No word on if the other cast members will also be paid the same amount.
Though a deal has been agreed to in principle, lawyers for the cast are still trying to hammer out certain terms of the deal. Apparently, one of the main issues is how many paid club appearances the cast members will be able to do each week. Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation want the right to appear at as many as four clubs and other venues a week ..
As we reported earlier, some of the cast members are able to pull between $7,500 – $10,000 per club appearance.
UPDATE - A MTV Exec confirms the entire cast will be returning for a 2nd season and also reveals it will be filmed at a different location.
“Our audience has fallen in love with ‘Jersey Shore’ and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family” said Tony DiSanto, President of Programming for MTV. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans more of what they love — laughs, love, drama and of course GTL.”
The Los Angeles auditions of American Idol brought us what seemed like some serious tension between guest judge Katy Perry and Kara DioGuardi. Katy even threatened to throw a Coke at Kara for singing her hit “I Kissed a Girl.”
Days later, Kara is now speaking out and making it clear all is well between the two ladies, and that the two were just joking.
“People actually think that I was upset by this — like there was tension,” Kara, 39, said on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show.
“I think that it’s really good that she disagreed with me,” continued Kara. “I think that it’s important that people have different opinions or else who wants to watch the show? It’d be boring.”
According to Kara, who also happens to be a songwriter-producer, she has known Katy for a long time and the two have worked together in the past.
Moving on to other news, did Katy have a reason for really turning it on during the LA auditions? It seems so as the 25 year old singer tells MTV she would love to permanently replace Simon Cowell as an Idol judge.
Katy told MTV that the experience was “awesome” and “if I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career.”

So last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County brought us some rather tender moments between the mother and daughter duo -Lynne Curtinand her teenage daughter Alexa Curtin. And by tender, I mean a spoilt over dramatic teenager cursing out her mother on national television, while the mother ofcourse just sat there and took it.
Wowzers, did those conversations really take place between these two? I guess we should all have seen this coming as earlier on in the season, Alexa, 16, was shown asking her mother for beer while in the company of others. And then she didn’t show up for the family’s counseling session and of course missed her curfew. Alexa would later confide in her mom that the reason she missed the counseling session was because she was hung over. Sighs, 16 isn’t quite what it used to be.
Lynne took her daughter to the mall in hopes of trying to talk to her, but things took a quick turn for the worse when Alexa blew her fuse and called her mother a “b—-.” But it didn’t end there, Alexa sensing that she just crossed a major boundary with zero consequences, grew bigger balls and later told her mother to “Kiss my ass,” before walking away.
The interesting thing about this rebellious behavior from Alexa is her honesty in her interviews. The girl admitsshe would like some boundaries and discipline, and is pretty much begging to be punished and grounded by her parents.
What came next was Lynne’s drunken meltdown at Alexis Bellino’s get together. We see Gretchen and Tamra get along, and the main drama seems to be the one between Lynne and Gretchen, as it seems Lynne is still holding a major grudge regarding Gretchen’s attempt to talk to her daughter. Perhaps it’s time for Lynne to let that go and focus of being a parent to her children. I’m guessing she was so defensive because she KNOWS she is a crappy mother.
I love Gretchen’s comment – “Just because you pop a child out between your legs doesn’t give you the God-[given] right to know how to parent!” Yes you can’t really know what it’s like to be a parent until you are one and blah blah blah, but anyone with an IQ above 10 can see Lynne has dropped the ball on parenting her daughters.
I do agree with what the ladies told Lynne, that is it never too late to become a better parent. Hopefully Lynne has made a complete turnaround in that department. Having your daughter call you a bitch on national television should be rock bottom. In a way, I actually have a little sympathy for Alexa, she is the child in this relationship and has obviously received no discipline or guidance from her parents, and has even told them on more than one occasion that she would like more boundaries and discipline.

Gossip enthusiast Perez Hilton is once again slated to host the anticipated Reunion episode of Bad Girls Club Season 4. This season has broken major records for Oxygen, as it has not only been the highest rated season of BGC ever, but also the highest rated series ever on Oxygen. Last week’s episode drew over 2 million viewers, a first for Oxygen.
The two part “Bad Girls Club” reunion special is set to air on Tuesday, March 16 and 23 at 10pm ET/PT on Oxygen. According to some recent hear say, the reunion show was filmed just days ago and it was very dramatic. Flo and Natalie reportedly got into a physical fight which resulted in dresses being ripped and torn earlobes. And oh yeah, someone ended up with a bloody knee.
The rumor is Flo got the best of Natalie in that fight. Natalie supposedly gets into it with other cast-mates as well.
Here’s what Perez had to say about the reunion – “Last year’s reunion special was tame compared to this one! Last year was a 5 in comparison. This was an 11,” said Perez Hilton. “I am lucky to have made it out alive, although by the end of the marathon taping I did become slightly insane. The crazy is contagious! You won’t want to miss this reunion special. Trust me! Even I was shocked by everything that happened!”
RadarOnline is reporting that Danielle Staub of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, and one of her daughters were involved in a car crash Thursday morning. She apparently lost control of her car while driving in icy conditions.
According to Radar, Danielle and her daughter were taken to Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, at around 9 am for treatment.
Sources say Danielle was overheard complaining of back pains while her daughter was being pushed around the emergency room in a wheel chair.
A spokesman for Poquannock police in New Jersey confirms Danielle was indeed involved in the accident: “We can confirm that Miss Staub was involved in a minor car accident after the vehicle she was traveling in lost control in some icy conditions.”
No word yet on their current conditions or which one of her daughters was involved in the crash.
The couple has dealt with several financial hardships in the past year, which included some very public evictions, and a million dollar lawsuit judgement against the couple.
The OC Register reports the couple was recently in court so that a real estate investor who won a $1.26 million judgment against them could check out their assets. “Everyone thinks because of the show we’re gazillionaires,” Lynne said after coming out of the court.
“When the economy turned we lost all of our money in real estate investments. We’ve been trying to get back on our feet ever since then,” added Frank Curtin.
Lynne and Frank appeared in court on Wednesday under the threat of arrest. As we previously reported, a Superior Court Judge issued a bench arrest warrant for the couple when they failed to attend a hearing in the case last month. The bench warrant was however set aside as the Judge gave them a chance to show up yesterday.
The $1.26 mil judgment was for a real estate investor who said he wasn’t paid after lending the Curtins money for projects that didn’t pan out.
Franklin Casco Jr., the attorney for the Curtins said they would try to resolve the case “informally,” but maintained filing for bankruptcy is an option they are considering.
The two-hour special titled “The Bachelor: Jason and Molly’s Wedding” is set to air March 8. Shockingly enough, this will only be the second wedding in the history of the Bachelor franchise. The special will include Molly’s dress fitting, planning for the big day, bachelor and bachelorette parties and the ceremony. Past “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” couples and contestants will reportedly be on the guest list.
This isn’t the first time ABC has aired a Bachelor wedding. Trista Rehn and husband Ryan Sutter, who met on “The Bachelorette” in 2002, also had their wedding televised on ABC. It proved to be a big hit as it drew more than 17.1 million viewers.
Jason and Molly’s upcoming wedding will mark the latest twist in the Bachelor’s narrative that’s extended through a couple of seasons of the Bachelor franchise. Jason was one of the final two bachelors on DeAnna Pappas‘ edition of “The Bachelorette.” He became the first single dad on “The Bachelor” after being dumped by DeAnna, and then proposed to Melissa Rycroftin the finale, only to change his mind and break up with Melissa on national television and instead choose Molly.
All seemed to end well as Melissa got married last December, and Jason and Molly got engaged back in October, 2009.
