Bachelor

Ben HIggins and Lauren Bushnell

I have to admit that I am a part of Bachelor Nation. I watch The Bachelor and all of its spin-offs. I’m even contemplating trying out for the next season. Needless to say, I am pretty invested in the franchise. But I have to keep it real and tell you that I could not get into the “Happily Ever After” spin-off show with Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell.

Don’t get me wrong I love Ben, but I just can’t see this show getting a second season.

Nick Viall as The Bachelor

The upcoming season of The Bachelor has been super controversial and highly talked about even though filming hasn’t even wrapped up yet. Ever since Nick Viall was chosen for the leading role, Bachelor Nation was super surprised by the decision and curious about what his season will have to offer. You don’t have to wait too much longer, Nick’s Bachelor season has an official premiere date- thank God.

Everyone wants to know what Nick’s season will be like. Even though Nick and host Chris Harrison are both waiting to see how it all ends up for the eternal runner-up, we at least have one thing set in stone and that is the start date for the upcoming season.

Lauri Peterson son Josh Waring arrested, attempted murder

The fans in Bachelor Nation have always been very devoted, but the recent announcement that Nick Viall was chosen as the latest Bachelor has really put the fandom into overdrive. The news broke over a week ago and the Bachelor fans have a lot to say about it. One of those fans is Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lauri Peterson who wants her daughter Ashley Zarlin to join the show and date Nick Viall.

Nick was already on three reality shows in the Bachelor franchise, so why not bring in someone from Bravo? Yes, it’s a super random idea, but it would probably bring some additional viewers to the series. The only real issue that I see is that Real Housewives of Orange County is a Bravo show which is a part of the NBC Universal family and The Bachelor airs on ABC, but that might be irrelevant since Lauri hasn’t been a full time Housewife in years. But anyway, let’s get back to the story here.

Nick Viall as The Bachelor

Am I the only one who feels like the announcement that Nick Viall will be the next The Bachelor is getting more attention than any other Bachelor-related news in a while? It became official last week and people are still talking about it. Chris Harrison continues to insist that Nick is the best choice. However, The Bachelorette cast-offs Chad Johnson and Robby Hayes aren’t feeling it.

They sound a little bitter to me. After all, the trend for this franchise has been to pick the star for the next season from last season’s pool of contestants, which includes both Chad and Robby. Not to mention that Luke Pell has been doing a press tour of complaints after he was rudely shafted from the role at the last minute. With so many differing opinions about Nick, I have a feeling that a lot of people will be watching The Bachelor next season.

Luke-Pell-JoJo-Fletcher-Bachelorette

The fans from Bachelor Nation were collectively shocked when 2-time Bachelorette alum Nick Viall was named as the next star of The Bachelor. Everyone and their grandmothers thought that it was between Luke Pell and Chase McNary from JoJo Fletcher’s Bachelorette season. After all, that’s how the franchise typically works: the star of one season is a cast off from the season before.

So no one ever thought that Nick who was on the show two and three seasons ago was even in the running and when I say “no one” apparently this included Luke as well because he thought that he was chosen to star in the Bachelor and he was all set to film.

Nick Viall as The Bachelor

Is the FOURTH time the charm for Nick Viall? Or just pathetically famewhorey?

That is the question facing Bachelor Nation this morning. In case you missed it, Nick, who was runner-up on Andi‘s season of the Bachelorette, then hijacked Kaitlyn‘s season of the Bachelorette and was runner up again, then failed to find love on Bachelor in Paradise, was announced as the next The Bachelor lead, which many thought would be one of JoJo Fletcher‘s rejects, specifically Luke Pell or Chase McNary.

Chris Harrison, the most dramatic reality TV host ever, appeared on GMA this morning to explain the decision.

The Bachelor Nick Viall

After two seasons of rejection on Bachelorette and a season on Bachelor in Paradise, Nick Viall is done being the runner up.

Now, Nick will be the star of the next season of The Bachelor. Nick went from being a villain on his two seasons of The Bachelorette, to the likable voice of reason on Bachelor in Paradise.

Nick has been through it all with the Bachelor Nation fans and now he’s about to join the one show in the Bachelor franchise he hasn’t been a part of. Finally.

Love him or hate him, it is pretty interesting that The Apprentice star Donald Trump went from being a reality TV star to a presidential candidate. It got me thinking about celebrities that I enjoy watching on reality TV who I would love to see run for president.

To make it clear, I don’t necessarily think any of these people should actually be president, just that it definitely would have been entertaining if we had them in the mix at some point during the nomination and election processes. Also, this list is meant to be a complete joke, so chill out with the political commentary and just have fun with the “what if” political possibilities.
