Will they or won’t they… be one of the only Bachelorette couples to marry! Former BacheloretteAshley Hebert and her fiancé JP Rosenbaum are still engaged but they have no plans to walk down the aisle just yet.
The couple spoke to US Weekly at ASPCA’s “Blessing of the Animals” in NYC this Sunday and the couple, along with their dog, Boo, confirmed they are still happy but there’s no wedding date set! “Well, I’m almost done with school. I just have a week and a half [left],” Ashley explained. “I think once that’s done I can start turning my attention elsewhere.”
The couple is still happily engaged and enjoying their time living together in NYC. “We really are best friends, [so] just being together is a lot to look forward to,” Ashley said of their relationship, adding that the couple “looks forward to building our lives together.”
JP echoed that they just “want to wait for the right time” before walking down the aisle. The right time like when ABC schedules their nuptials??
And Ashley is happy about her rejected former beau Ben Flajnik‘s turn on The Bachelor. “He’s a really good guy,” Ashley said. “We both really respect him. I hope he has better… You know, a better experience than I gave him.”
Speaking of Ben, an extended trailer for his upcoming season of The Bachelor has just been released and it promises bachelorettes at war (literally), covert activity, plenty of crying, and a very, very crazy villainess in the form of Courtney Robertson, a model from AZ who tries to seduce Ben by skinnydipping! A photo of Courtney is below.

With just three weeks until the premiere of The Bachelor season 16, ABC has released the photos of the 25 contestants vying for Ben Flajnik’s heart!
On the season opener, Ben, 29, a winemaker from Sonoma, meets his 25 potential soul mates as he begins his search for “true love.” And in a twist, Ben is taken aback on the first night when Sheryl, a sprite senior citizen, steps out of the limo and confesses she is madly in love with him. But according to the rumor mill, it appears Sheryl was simply there to introduce her granddaughter to Ben.
The ABC press release promises us some more interesting characters such as: “Erika, the young law student, informs Ben that the verdict is in and he is convicted of being sexy. Emily, the germ conscious epidemiologist, doesn’t miss a beat, quickly sanitizing both herself and Ben before grabbing the season’s first kiss. And in a questionable move, Anna decides that Ben should only get a look at her before she struts right by him and straight into the mansion. But what is her real motive? Lindzi arrives on horseback in time to intrigue Ben and capture his attention. And finally, Jenna, a New York blogger, breaking down into tears over early drama with fellow bachelorette Monica.”
The new season of The Bachelor returns to ABC on Jan. 2 (8/7c).

Bloggers beware! In today’s surprising news the producers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are suing the popular blogger realitysteve.com for soliciting information to be used for leaking spoilers about their hit shows!
In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in California Federal Court NZK Productions and Alternative Television, Inc — the producers of the shows — are claiming the defendant, blogger Steve Carbone (a.k.a. realitysteve) is ” attempting to have contestants breach their confidentiality pledges.” The website has leaked such high-profile information as the location of the shows, the final three, the winners, even going so far as to disclose the participants before ABC officially releases the cast list. In exchange for realitysteve contacting participants for classified gossip they want at least $75,000 in damages.
Participants in the ABC shows are required to sign contracts barring them from divulging “non-public” information about the shows. Realitysteve is accused of learning “confidential information” about the series by “contacting and soliciting information from participants, cast, crew, and other employees of the series.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, show employees are told that they will face high penalties upwards of a million dollars for disclosing the info, but according to the suit Carbone “allegedly contacted them with knowledge they were subject to confidentiality obligations.” Supporting this claim, the producers have included an email supposedly sent by realitysteve to a Bachelor contestant on Nov 17. It reads:
“Let me just say, I’m very well aware of your contract. I also know that over 500 contestants have been on this show and not one of them has ever been sued for the $5 million. It’s just a scare tactic. Trust me. Just like they had no idea you sent me that last email, they’ll have no idea about any correspondence either. I know you’re scared and a little paranoid by it, but don’t be. Unless they are hacking your email or tapping your phone, there’s absolutely no way for them to find out.”
In exchange for providing him with information, realitysteve allegedly offered the participant $2,500 if she were willing to breach her contract. “Since you are a student, and I know you have loans up the ying-yang, I’d be willing to compensate you… I swear, this is the easiest money you’d ever make and you and I are the only two people that would know.”
The producers claim this is not an isolated incident and include several other examples of where realitysteve contacted participants and former participants for information to further his site. According to the producers realitysteve was sent more than one cease and desist letters, which were ignored, before they sought legal action against the blogger for “intentional interference with contractual relations and unfair competition and demanding at least $75,000 in damages and an injunction.”
It is interesting to note that despite the producers so-called ire that realitysteve referred to their confidentiality contracts as “scare-tactics” they are not seeking damages against any of the show participants who broke their own contracts!
Rebutting against the lawsuit realitysteve posted a “statement” about claims and insists: “I have not been served a lawsuit, nor have I even seen this lawsuit, so I have no specific comment at this time.”
Instead he posted the communication he received from the production companys’ attorneys. realitysteve’s attorney, Brad Kizzia, insists there has been “no interference” with participants’ contracts and alludes to the website seeking legal action against the plantiffs! “For your clients to sue Mr. Carbone would be unnecessary – at best a waste of the parties time and expense and at worst, an illegal slap action attempting to deny Mr. Carbone’s First Amendment rights.”
Well, this is all very interesting! And in case you weren’t awareBen Flajnik‘s season of The Bachelor premieres next month…

THOUGHTS? DO THE PRODUCERS HAVE A RIGHT TO SUE REALITYSTEVE FOR LEAKING SPOILERS ABOUT THEIR SHOW? SHOULD THEY BE TAKING ACTION AGAINST THE PARTICIPANTS THAT LEAK INFORMATION INSTEAD? DO YOU BELIEVE THIS A FRIVILOUS LAWSUIT TO GENERATE PUBLICITY FOR THE SHOW OR IS THAT JUST ME?
Ben will begin his quest by meeting sixteen beautiful women, okay 15 and one senior citizen who does seem like a beautiful person; including a germ-a-phobe epidemiologist who spritzes him with Lysol. Aaaahhh… nothing says love like Febreeze! Also in the mix a lady on a horse, but unlike Lady Godiva she’s apparently fully clothed. There’s also a surprise guest who is back from seasons of Bachelor’s past — no it’s not Ashley she’s still under contractual obligation to appear happy with JP!
The official list of Bachelorettes has yet to be released yet insiders are promising a season of very diverse and vibrant personalities amongst the women which means lots of drama. And, apparently one potential suitor that ditches Ben for a producer. Oops. During the course of the season the ladies will be faced with over-coming their biggest fears, including leaping from a helicopter into Belize’s famous Great Blue Hole! Yeah — Ben would so not be worth that for me.
According to ABC’s press release, Ben will woo his ladies on a series of “romantic and adventurous dates” that test their “perseverance in pursuing their romantic objective, along with fun, exciting and exotic dates that will elicit real and raw passions.” Wow — sounds saucy! Ben will travel with the ladies through California, then to Utah, to Central America and finally Switzerland where the final three women will anxiously vie for a Neil Lane engagement ring to borrow until the wedding is called off!
The Bachelor will premiere on ABC — Jan 2, 2012 (8/9 ET).
DO YOU BELIEVE BEN WILL FIND LOVE ON THE SHOW? ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT THE UPCOMING SEASON?
The Bachelor is back and I know I’m probably the only person who is excited, but as a closet fan, I can’t help it!
ABC has just released the first official trailer for Bachelor Ben Flajnik’s season which is promised to be full of surprises! Among them a bachelorette that arrives on horseback to meet him! Um… I hope she wasn’t wearing a mini skirt!
Also, a bachelorette who is, shall we say, on the cougar side of things! Yes, an elderly woman exits the limo and greets Ben with “I fell madly in love with you.” I’m guessing this is a joke or perhaps one of the real bachelorette’s grandmothers! Which would be sort of cute, admit it!
Ben, of course, will be gallivanting anyplace with a hot tub and a beach with his harem of hot ladies because everyone knows finding love in a bikini is the way to go! In the preview, we also see Ben drinking some champagne and making out – because that’s what Bachelors do!
The official trailer is below! The Bachelor premieres Jan 2, 2012 on ABC (8/9c).
WILL YOU BE WATCHING OR AM I THE ONLY DORK WHO STILL LOVES THIS SHOW?WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ELDERLY LADY MEANS?
Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor has barely started filming yet the drama is already out of control! I guess that’s to be expected when 25 women are vying for the attention of one man!
Reality Steve, spoiler du jour for all things Bachelor related, reports that one of the women that make up Ben’s bevy of bachelorettes asked to leave the show after she fell for one of the producers!
Here’s a little background information to set the story in motion: All of the producers on the set of The Bachelor are men! So basically these 25 women, removed from their lives and quarantined in a mansion while waiting for the attentions of one man, start to form a friendship with the producers constantly around. The women start to trust the producers. The producers play a “best friend” type role in the hopes that the women will reveal secrets, gossip and other incriminating material about themselves that can then be used for dramatic purposes to amp up the show.
Steve reports that “any” of the former contestants will vouch for this and flirting “absolutely” takes place between the women and the producers, except for the women completely focused on the prize! Well, in this situation the contestant got a little side-tracked and potentially was reading too much into the relationship she developed with the producer. Oops! Or maybe she just wasn’t feeling Ben (who does seem a little on the boring side!)?
According to Steve, the unnamed woman fell for this producer so hard she confessed to the crew that she wasn’t so into the main man! Instead of being sent home right away, she was apparently convinced to stick around for another week and was eliminated during the next rose ceremony. My guess – the powers that be at ABC wanted her to play up the ‘I think I might have feelings for someone else’ storyline without disclosing that it was actually a producer on their show!
The producer in question also happens to be married with children! And he is still working for the show, as of now, which leaves Reality Steve to believe that no physical relationship actually took place but it was merely a flirtation or perhaps an excuse for said woman to exit the show. No one knows yet if this incident will make the air, but we all know the producers edit the show how they want it to look regardless of what goes on behind-the-scenes!
Before everyone starts describing this as Rozlyn Papa 2.0 – it was nothing of the sort! In case you don’t remember Rozlyn got caught having relations (and sex!) with a producer and was sent home immediately. The producer in question was also fired.
Steve is also reporting that another contestant named Britni asked to be sent home early! Wow – Ben must really suck as the Bach! I guess we’ll have to see how it all plays out!
The new season of The Bachelor will premier on ABC — Jan 2, 2012 (8/9 ET)
THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST SPOILER? DO YOU BELIEVE THE PRODUCER REALLY HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CONTESTANT OR WAS HE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER TO GET INFORMATION? WILL YOU BE WATCHING BEN AS THE BACHELOR?
Ben Flajnik, the 29-year-old wine-maker from Sonoma, CA will begin his quest shortly for a wife! ABC has just announced the sixteenth season of The Bachelor will debut this January. They are officially 0-15 so let’s hope they can get a success under their belt with Bachelor Ben’s romantic, sensitive ways.
After getting his heart broken by BacheloretteAshley Hebert in the most boring season ever, Ben has the chance to redeem himself as 25 women try desperately to woo him for their chance at fifteen minutes of fame finding love.
Describing Ben as a “rare, modern Renaissance man,” he is hoping he can meet a woman that loves music, wine and his dog. The former music production major with a minor in business from University of Arizona initially found success working in Internet advertising. However, he decided to turn his love of wine into a full-time business and now co-owns a winery that produces multiple brands.
This three-time loser in love is “confident” the fourth times a charm and he will “find his soul mate and a lasting, love-filled relationship” on the show. Ben has very high expectations!
Ben plans to remain in California for both his family and his winery, thus whatever woman he chooses better be ready to relocate! She also must deal with his mom and sister — which based on Ashley’s home visit with him –- is going to be tough to handle! Be ready for lots of excitement along the way in Ben’s quest for love (spoilers are reporting a surprise visit from a past-season’s Bachelor contestant that has a crush on Ben!).
The new season of The Bachelor will premier on ABC — Jan 2, 2012 (8/9 ET).
WILL YOU BE WATCHING? ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT BEN AS THE BACHELOR?
Filming for California vineyard owner Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor is still underway and supposedly it contains a few unexpected twists!
ABC is describing their newest hopeless hopeful as “a rare, modern Renaissance man,” who “dabbles in a lot of hobbies and crafts, such as crab fishing, sailing, golf, skate boarding, surfing, playing piano and singing in a tribute band.” Are these supposed to make him attractive to us? Because frankly the only thing that grabs my attention is the word: winemaker.
Ben is also a dog lover who makes it known that any woman he chooses to share his heart with will “also have to share one of his other great loves: his Jack Russell Terrier, Scotch.”
Well now for some spoilers!
Apparently a surprise guest arrives to the first rose ceremony to try and capture Ben’s heart! Reality Steve, of the infamous Bachelor spoiler site, has announced that Shawntel Newton, a finalist from two-time Bachelor failure Brad Womack’s season has developed a crush on Ben and ABC put her in the running for Ben’s heart as a bonus contestant of sorts!
Shawntel, in case you don’t remember, was the funeral director who took Brad on a tour of the mortuary facilities during the Hometown Dates, thus grossing him out so much that she was sent home. Apparently she made it known through the Tweeter that she was into Ben, and was invited to the first cocktail party and rose ceremony but was unfortunately NOT given a rose!
I’m calling producer manipulation on this one! They probably told Shawntel that Ben had a crush on her as well and would be psyched about her interest only for it to be used as a ratings grab. Some people are too nice for reality TV and my guess is that Ben and Shawntel are two of them. A photo of Shawntel is below.
THOUGHTS ON THE NEW SEASON OF THE BACHELOR AND BEN? THOUGHTS ON SHAWNTEL’S SURPRISE VISIT? DESPERATE OR OKAY?
