Teen Mom’s Catelynn Lowell and Fiance Tyler Baltierra Are Reunited For The Holidays!

Oh, it seems like at least one couple from Teen Mom is really trying to make it work! I'll admit, most of the girls from both Teen Mom franchises make really stupid decisions and do totally dumb things–even when they have an amazing support system. None of them seem to be in healthy relationships except for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. Surprisingly, this pair had the most stacked against them…her mom was an addict, his dad was in and and out of jail, and they ended up becoming step-siblings when her mom and his dad entered into a tumultuous marriage. It's enough to mess up any teen couple. Or anyone, for that matter!

However, Catelynn and Tyler are different. They've been together since the seventh grade, and, realizing that their daughter could be raised in a much more stable environment, they decided to choose adoption. They are the only couple in the history of 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom to do so. While they've definitely struggled in their relationship (Catelynn needs a lot of reassurance), they seem to be committed to one another and are now engaged. Even if Catelynn and Tyler don't make it (I really hope they do), they are more mature than all of the other Teen Moms (1 and 2!) put together. That may not be saying much, but I still think they still think they are head and shoulders above their counterparts.

I'll admit, I laughed a bit when Tyler decided to move to New Orleans to focus on his acting career–mainly because he went to New Orleans and not New York or Los Angeles…or even Wilmington, North Carolina! When Tyler decided to fulfill his dreams, he and Catelynn vowed to make their relationship work long distance. Now, the couple is reunited for the holidays.

16 And Pregnant’s Brooke Smitherman-Tarrant Gives Birth To A Baby Girl!

16 and Pregnant star Brooke Smitherman-Tarrant and her husband, Cody Tarrant, welcomed their second child this week.

Brooke and Cody announced the news by posting a photo of their sweet baby girl on their Facebook fan page. Born on December 18, Ryley Jean joins big brother Brody Ryan. Brody will be three in January. While Brody is a combination of Brooke and Cody's first names, Ryley was created by merging the couple's middle names, which are Ryan and Ashley.

Brooke and Cody were featured on Season 2B. The couple got married before Brody was born (a first on 16 and Pregnant) and bought a barn house (the barn is the only reason I remember these two!).

16 And Pregnant Star Whitney Purvis Arrested For Smashing Electronics

16 and Pregnant's Whitney Purvis and Weston Gosa are in trouble.

Earlier this week, Whitney and Weston were accused of smashing someone else's laptop and cell phone, arrested, and charged with criminal trespassing.

This is the second arrest this year for each of them.

In March, Whitney was arrested for stealing a pregnancy test from Walmart. Following the arrest, Whitney said, “Sometimes it takes hittin’ rockbottom.” In July, Weston was arrested and charged with felony possession of controlled substances, misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects, and DUI. Also, he may or may not have been charged with failing to stay awake for mugshot.

Teen Mom’s Tyler Baltierra Moves To New Orleans… Alone; 16 and Pregnant Star Is Pregnant Again

Teen Mom shocker: Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are living separately. On October 22, Tyler moved to New Orleans to pursue his dream of ~~social working~~ being a movie star. Simply put, Tyler says, "It's time for me to focus on my dreams." And, according to Tyler, New Orleans has a "thriving movie scene."

So, Catelynn is on her own in Michigan. To pass the time, she attends Baker College, shares Twitpics, saves pregnant teens, and (now) fends off break up rumors. Catelynn insists that she and Tyler are "stronger than ever." She shares, “I love him, and I need to stand by him.”

Catelynn feels the need to add, “It’s not like we’re going to go out and cheat on each other. We’re not like that." To reinforce Catelynn's statement, Tyler adds, "We're two peas in a pod." Catelynn and Tyler have been through a lot together – an unplanned pregnancy, placing Carly for adoption, drug addicted parents, becoming step brother and sister – and are to be married in July. Wil their relationship survive this separation?

16 and Pregnant Star Flees State to Get Away From Her Twins’ Father

Jennifer Del Rio from 16 and Pregnant has fled her home state of Florida with her twins to get away from her children’s father. You may recall this happy couple from their episode when her then boyfriend Joshua Smith left her on the side of the road before speeding off with his children in the back seat. He’s a classy guy.

The now eighteen-year-old mother is now with her kids in Illinois, citing her ex’s abusive ways as her reasoning for getting the heck out of dodge. Both were arrested (at separate times) in 2011 alleging battery against the other, a claim Jennifer says is totally false.

16 and Pregnant Recap: Let’s Hear It for the Dad!

Devon Broyles from Richmond, Virginia is the teem mom we met on last night’s 16 and Pregnant. She brags about being mature for her age, as she’s sixteen and pregnant with her twenty-year-old boyfriend Colin whom she met after his first tour in Iraq.

Devon lives at home with her older brother, two sisters, and mom. Her folks are divorced, but her parents are still friendly, so her dad stays at their house when he’s in town. Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, Devon’s sister Jane is also a teen mom, so her one-year-old daughter lives there as well. Her mother also let Colin move in after the pair started dating. Where’s John Stamos because this is clearly a full house!

The couple reminisces about the many nights Devon would sneak Colin into the house late night, and once her mom busted them the following morning, he was allowed to move in for good. She got pregnant a few months later. Devon is focused on school while Colin supports the family by serving in the Reserves. She admits to her friends that she didn’t figure out she was pregnant until she was five months along. Yea prenatal care! Her friends laugh at her misfortune as she was always the life of every party.

16 and Pregnant Recap: Forrest Gump Said It Best, “Stupid Is As Stupid Does”

We were introduced to Sarah Roberts on last night’s 16 and Pregnant, a sixteen-year-old from Chickamauga, Georgia. She is super close to her mother, and she lives with her mom and two brothers. Sarah met her boyfriend Blake in the sixth grade, and they have been dating on and off for five years. She had aspired to go to college and study journalism, while Blake dreams of being a shrimp boat captain. Sarah’s mom Tina and Blake don’t get along, but of course she lets him move in once Sarah gets pregnant. He’s a high school dropout, and Sarah’s mom doesn’t like how disrespectful he is or how he treats her daughter. Blake doesn’t like following Tina’s rules, and Sarah wonders how long he will stick around in Chickamauga. Blake thinks he could make more money shrimping in South Georgia.

Sarah’s mom does her make-up every morning. Tina is concerned that once the baby is born the couple will take off to South Georgia. At a doctor’s appointment, Blake seems very uncomfortable. Sarah tells her midwife that she will be going to school online, while Blake mumbles something about getting his GED. Blake has promised to pick up a crib from Sarah’s aunt, but he’s busy…playing video games and hanging out with his friends. Tina warns Sarah that he’s only going to get worse once the baby is born. Blake confides in a friend that he just wants to have fun until the baby is born. The whole conversation has subtitles. Thank goodness I’m Southern. I have no problem understanding what they’re saying, which is awesome because it means I can keep typing instead of trying to decipher their backwoods twang. The ever classy Blake reveals that he is so sick of Sarah’s mother, he is sometimes just tempted to pay child support and be done with it.

16 and Pregnant Recap: Don’t Judge A Dad By His Mohawk

On last night’s 16 and Pregnant, we are introduced to a couple who wasn’t a couple. The two had a few hook-ups before learning they were expecting. However, the pair managed to defy most odds (after an early-on freak out by mohawked dad) to become a loving, self-sufficient couple with a newborn.

Hope Harbert is from Lee’s Summit, Missouri where she lives with her mom and two younger siblings. She fancies herself a party girl who has just graduated from high school. She met Ben, who also enjoyed going out, and after hooking up a few times, Hope found out she was pregnant. She actually got pregnant the first time she ever had sex. When Hope told Ben about the impending baby, he said he wanted nothing to do with her or his child. Hope reveals to her mother she lost her virginity to Ben, and although they only had sex a couple times, they never used protection. Her mother is very disappointed, but she is supportive. After two months of no contact, Ben has a change of heart and invites Hope to come move in with him before the baby is born. She thinks that is the best idea for the new couple. Of course she does. When will these girls learn?

After chatting with her friends, Hope admits that she thinks Ben will be a good dad even if he’s not a good boyfriend. Her folks have never met Ben, and her mother is beyond perplexed that her daughter is in this situation having never had a boyfriend before. Ben isn’t quite ready to meet her fam, so he only comes by to visit when no one is home. Winner! Ben has gotten a new apartment, and he is willing to move in all the baby stuff. However, he’s not keen on moving in Hope’s belongings. Ben is quick to let her know that she’s welcome to spend the night whenever she wants. What a charmer. He also admits that he was frightened off from her when he found out she was a virgin who got pregnant after only having sex the first time. Perhaps he missed the day in sex ed when you learn that anytime you have sex you can get pregnant…you don’t have to practice for months before it can happen.
