I don’t understand anything that Vicki Gunvalson does on Real Housewives of Orange County. She is always crying to get sympathy from the viewers because no one in the cast wants to be friends with her, yet she refuses to apologize for anything that she does – ever.
No one is here for that, Vicki – especially Heather Dubrow. She has always been a no nonsense chick, but she is really laying down the law when it comes to how she will treat Vicki after all of the Brooks Ayers-related craziness. In the most recent episodeHeather declared that she is going to regard Vicki as an “acquaintance” instead of a friend from now on.
The Vicki Gunvalson denial tour rages on! In a revealing interview Vicki doesn’t hold back in discussing her complicated relationships with her cast mates, rebounding from Brooks Ayers, and why she’s begging everyone to move on. Oh, she also wants a spinoff with friend/enemy Tamra Judge. Huh?
This season ofReal Housewives Of Orange County has Vicki avoiding drama – or trying to – and focusing on rebuilding. “I’m filling my tank back up!” This means a lot of whooping it up while re-evaluating her friendships.
“If I see conflict I really, kinda, wanna run now, but I’m strong enough to know I’ve gotta defend myself,” Vicki shares. “You’re not gonna see me screaming or going berserk. Hopefully I’m a little bit more tame this year.”
I cannot be the only one who feels like the instant friendship between Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd is less than genuine. Maybe they ended up being really good friends, but it’s pretty obvious that their immediate kinship came from a place of attention-seeking desperation.
We are only two episodes into Season 11 of Real Housewives of Orange County and it’s very clear the the rest of the cast can’t stand Vicki for all of the Brooks Ayers-related bullshit that she put them through last year. Vicki needs friends and Kelly needs to get some camera time if she wants to stick around on the show so it makes total sense for these two to link up. That’s not how Vicki sees it though, or at least that’s not the justification she has for this new relationship.
Heather Dubrow is definitely the most diplomatic cast member on Real Housewives of Orange County. She is the epitome of class and she is one of the few housewives who doesn’t use her spare time to be a shit stirrer. So when Heather is mad at someone, it is always for a good reason – minus that one time in Season 8 when she got mad at her husband Terry Dubrow over some onion rings.
But anyway, Heather is clearly the most reasonable person in the cast, not to mention the nicest, so this means that she really thinks that Vicki Gunvalson screwed up since she refuses to forgive her for her involvement with her ex Brooks Ayers’s cancer scandal. So why can’t we actually have new story lines in season 11? So why can’t Heather move on?
It is so obvious that Kelly just wants to stir shit up and get attention by being nice to Vicki. She can’t claim to not know her past situation while at the same time citing that she has compassion for her. Pick a stance, girl. Now she is weirdly against Shannon Beador after she is the one who gave pretty much everyone a terrible first impression with her attention-seeking antics. Insulting people’s parenting and putting your boobs in their faces is not the best way to make friends – or to be a well-liked reality TV star.
Vicki starts off by sharing that last year was the worst of her life. “A lot has happened in my life since you last saw me on the couch last season with Andy and hopefully you will be happy with how far I have come in my personal life. I have to say last year was probably the worst year of my life, and I’m glad it’s over and behind me.”
The one thing that I really wanted to see ended up at the end of the episode in a “to be continued” moment. I was dying to see what Vicki had to say to Heather Dubrow when she took her aside on that yacht party. I can’t believe that I have to wait a whole week for something interesting to happen, however, Heather had some things to say about about the premiere episode in her blog.
