Life Twirls On

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore paid up her debt to actress Janet Hubert, it seems!  Janet took to Facebook today to say that Kenya had finally paid up the rest of the money she was owed for her role on “Life Twirls On,” which aired on the “Facebook network” last week, in case you missed it.   But Janet also slams her for more shady behavior, including putting the wrong address on the check.

Kenya Moore leaves WWHL in a purple coat

Kenya Moore has just been served… with a lawsuit! Janet Hubert who was hired to play the role of Kenya’s mother in the mysteriously-fated Life Twirls On announced that she had filed a lawsuit against Kenya for nonpayment.

Reacting to Janet’s lawsuitKenya says it has no merit, the allegations are false, and Janet’s claims dismissed. Kenya also accuses Janet of trying these same tactics in her previous place of employment!

“I don’t fight dirty and when it comes to my business I don’t play,” the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star announced via instagram. “There have been numerous false allegations made from Janet Hubert regarding non-payment for her work on the TV pilot Life Twirls On and most recently criminal activity.”

Watch What Happens Live - Season 12

Aaahhh… Kenya Moore, nothing is ever her fault and everyone else is trying to destroy her. Real Housewives Of Atlanta‘s no. 2  victim (second to NeNe Leakes) is slamming her co-stars and also defending herself against Janet Hubert, who filed a lawsuit against Kenya for non-payment of her work in Life Twirls On.

Speaking of NeNe’s recent complaints that unmarried Housewives should be fired, Kenya takes issue with the “shaming” that happens on RHOA. Of course, she never shames anyone, she’s just the victim of undeserved shaming. “These girls on this show – they want to call people delusional but they are the most delusional,” laments Kenya. “They feel as though because they have a husband they are in a better position than single women.”

“You can walk down the street, or go to a prison yard and find a man willing to marry you. I think it’s a bad message to send to the beautiful Black women out there,” adds Kenya. “Anyone can be married, it’s who you choose to marry.”

Life Twirls On

Oh happy day! The trailer for Kenya Moore‘s sitcom, Life Twirls On, is out! As you can see above, the cast includes Kenya, Cynthia Bailey, Cynthia’s ex Leon Robinson, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and One Life to Live star Janet Hubert, Kenya’s BFF Brandon DeShazer, and more.

The synopsis reads – “Three grown sisters, who share the same last name of Brown, are suddenly forced to move in together after the most successful sister has a nervous breakdown from ending a 1-day marriage.”

The trailer looks even worse than I imagined. With the exception of D. Woods, Janet, and Timon Durrett, the acting leaves a lot to be desired. (On a shallow note, hello, Timon! Where has this hottie been hiding?) That said, Life Twirls On might be sooo bad that it ends up being really good. For a laugh. Adjust the volume on your device, watch the trailer below, and tell us what you think!

Cynthia Bailey in Life Twirls On

Cynthia Bailey used her Real Housewives of Atlanta blog to gush over her role in Kenya Moore‘s pilot Life Twirls On. Apparently nothing else happened in the season finale that was worth a mention.

Cynthia said she’s dabbled in acting over the years but she obviously focused on modeling, adding, “More recently, over the past couple of years I have been cast for different roles, and I have fallen head over heels in love with acting.”

“So when Kenya told me about her pilot and that she was interested in Noelle’s dad, Leon, for one of the roles,” explained Cynthia, “I immediately let her know that I wanted to audition for it. Up until that point, Kenya knew nothing of my acting ambitions, and seemed a bit reluctant to let me try out. I knew that if she gave me the opportunity to audition, I would only have one chance to impress her. I showed up at the audition on time, in character, totally prepared, dressed to impress, and showed out!! I landed the role!!”

RHOA star Kenya Moore

Kenya Moore was brutally honest about her take on the Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida drama on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kenya described Phaedra as cold-hearted, admitted she has empathy for Apollo, and detailed why she thinks Phaedra set out to smear Apollo the same way she did Kenya.

“Some people love to criticize me for having an opinion about Phaedra and Apollo or anyone else on the show at this point, as if somehow it is never any of my business. Despite the fact that this is a show where we discuss our issues, thoughts, and observations of one another,” said Kenya. “We may not agree, but I am entitled to and allowed to provide my input. We may not agree, however, no one and nothing is off limits when the issues are put out there for public consumption.” I agree. Blogs about the episode are part of the HWs job.

Kenya RHOA Instagram

So things seem to be twirling together when it comes to Kenya Moore’s biopic sitcom pilot Life Twirls On. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is rivaling co-star and nemesis NeNe Leakes when it comes to acting as a quadruple threat. She’s singing, acting, directing, and being Gone with the Wind Fabulous…it’s got to be exhausting!

Back in the fall, Kenya announced that she was directing, producing, and acting in a sitcom pilot that she also wrote. She’s a regular Jerry Seinfeld! I don’t mean that as snark…I find Kenya to be highly entertaining, and if this show gets picked up by a network (no word on that yet), I’ll be watching for sure…and not just because it stars the original Vivian Banks!
