Royce Reed

Happy New Year! I hope y'all are enjoying the first day of 2013.

It's been a while since we've heard from Basketball Wives' Royce Reed, but apparently she has a lot to say…and I mean A LOT. She recently posted a blog on VH1 which the network promptly took down–and you'll see why when you read it! Luckily for us, Royce reposted her diatribe on Tumblr, and she doesn't mince words. She has some choice words for Evelyn Lozada, and she laughs off any rumors as to why Shaunie O'Neal doesn't like her. Speaking of that relationship, she's give some background into how the show was developed, and Royce claims that Nostrils didn't have much to do with it. Interesting.

Holy majoley!  I wonder how much Shaunie O'Neal pays her minions on Basketball Wives.  Former star Royce Reed (who got the ax from the upcoming season) apparently didn't make much, although that makes sense considering Shaunie couldn't stand her anyway.

Royce and her ex-boyfriend are now embroiled in a bitter custody dispute, and she's asked the judge to have her son's father pay her legal fees because she can't afford to play hardball like he can.  Of course, her ex is NBA star Dwight Howard who reportedly makes millions each MONTH (!!!), so it's no shocker that her BBW earnings would pale in comparison.

Royce Reed

Well it finally happened! Royce Reed is officially dunzo with Basketball Wives. Amid rumors that she along with Jennifer Williams had been fired from the show after the tumultuous season 4, Royce confirmed yesterday that she is, in fact, leaving the show.

Royce announced the news on twitter where she explained to fans she won't be returning next season.

I am so glad I haven't been holding my breath about VH1 cancelling Baseketball Wives in light of all the drama surrounding Evelyn Lozada and the recent firings of Jennifer Williams, Kesha Nichols, and Royce Reed.  Who wants to watch an hour of just Shaunie O'Neal flaring her nostrils?  Not this girl!

There is always speculation about switch-ups in the cast, and I'm sure this won't be the last rumor we hear regarding new "wives" joining the show.  The latest news is that Tasha Marbury will be joining the ladies for the upcoming season, and–are you sitting down?–she's actually the wife…of a basketball player!  Crazy, right?

There’s no such thing as too many photo posts, in my ever so humble opinion!  I love checking out what the stars are wearing, where they’re going, etc. Here we have another gallery from VH1′s 2012 Do Something Awards, held last night at Barker Hangar in Los Angeles.

A slew of reality stars from Basketball Wives, Basketball Wives L.A., Hollywood Exes and more turned out and showed off their best fashions on the blue carpet. Among them:  Jackie Christie, Nicole Murphy, Sheree Fletcher, Mayte Garcia, Tami Roman, Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne, Anna Trebunskaya, Maria Menounos, Karina Smirnoff, Laura Govan, Draya Michele, and LisaRaye McCoy.

*Just an FYI that a few of the photos in the gallery were labeled wrong by the photo agency, not Reality Tea.

The mess that has become the very brief – and I mean less than three months brief – marriage of Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada continues to implode. Chad has recently lost yet another endorsement deal, in addition to being fired from the Miami Dolphins and having their upcoming VH1 spinoff Ev & Ocho dropped.

It seems things continue to get worse for the reality TV lovin’ former NFL player. A friend is now speaking out and accusing Chad of abusing the Basketball Wives star all along!

Chad has been abusive towards Evelyn basically from the beginning of their relationship,” a source close to the couple revealed to RadarOnline.

Rumors have been swirling about the cast of next season’s Basketball Wives.  Have Jenn Williams, Kesha Nichols, and Royce Reed been handed their walking papers?  While Jenn and Kesha have remained mum on the gossip, both Royce and producer/Queen Bee Shaunie O’Neal have taken to twitter (where else?) to add their two cents.  Deny, deny, deny!  Shocking, I know.

After the news broke, Royce tweeted,  “This is so entertaining!!! Gotta love TMZ!”

Shaunie chose to respond in a manner that didn’t really answer any definitive questions.  It’s not surprising, knowing how well she’s mastered the ability to double talk.  She responded to a follower’s question about the firings by saying, “Let’s just say… I will not entertain anything but the truth hence me not replying 2 this RUMOR of the day.”  So…what you’re saying is?

As if any of you were planning to watch the fifth season of Basketball Wives, I have some breaking news that may just send you over the edge completely.  TMZ.com is reporting that three of the ladies (and yes, these may actually be considered ladies) are getting axed from the show.  While nothing has been confirmed, VH1′s official statement is, “We don’t comment on casting until everything is final. Thanks for checking in.”  However, when you hear who is getting the boot–and why–I doubt you’ll be surprised.

First to hit the road is Royce Reed.  Why?  I would say it’s obvious.  First, a lot of the women, including Queen Bee Shaunie O’Neal herself, refuse to film with Royce.  I am guessing that makes it more difficult to have a legitimate story line.  She doesn’t go on the cast trips, isn’t invited to birthday dinners, and misses out on all the bottle throwing and brawls.  Lucky.  Second, due to a gag order that has been in place since 2009, she isn’t even allowed to say the name of the basketball player to whom she was never a wife.  Sorry, Royce, but the writing seems to be on the wall for you.
