In your daily dose of Housewives news, we can report that there’s a new and super-wealthy lady joining the cast of RHOBH.
Radaronline.com is reporting that Yolanda Hadid, Dutch model and fourth wife of award-winning music producer David Foster, has officially joined the lavish cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It seems, as well, that Yolanda has an automatic “in” as she’s known Lisa Vanderpump for years. And we all saw how well a long friendship played out for Lisa and Adrienne Maloof!
A source reveals, “What most people don’t realize is that Yolanda was married to Lisa’s very good friend, Mohamed Hadid. Mohamed has appeared several times on the show, including during the last season when he threw an over the top engagement party for Lisa’s daughter, Pandora. Yolanda is going to make an excellent addition to the cast and she can definitely hold her ground if the claws come out; she is no shrinking violet.” I wonder if there will be any scenes with Yolanda, Mohamed, and Mo’s robot teen girlfriend. I’d certainly tune in for that!
The new season, which presumably premieres this fall, will be missing original cast member Camille Grammer, who, sources say, refused to be filmed with her boyfriend for a story line. Relegated to special appearances, producers need to vamp up the cast in light of Camille’s absence.
Well, it’s official! With no definite cast announcement, filming for the third season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has begun! And apparently, viewers can expect some pretty drastic changes this season!
“Filming began last week on the third season with Kyle Richards,” a source close to the show reveals to RadarOnline. “She has a lot going on in her life right now, including helping her sister and fellow cast member, Kim Richards, navigate the sometimes rocky road of sobriety.” But viewers shouldn’t expect another dreary season of Kim’s drunken antics – this is a whole new RHOBH!
“Kim’s sobriety and recovery are going to be a focal point of her story line. The ladies haven’t all filmed together yet but are expected to begin that next week. Kyle has been lamenting that she is really going to miss Camille [Grammer] because she added much needed class to the show.” Well, that’s a change from the first season when rumors abounded that she lobbied to get ol’ Cammie fired!
As for Taylor Armstrong, she’ll be back but reportedly not for long! “The ladies are also extremely concerned about Taylor’s drinking problem,” the insider reveals. “It has really gotten out of control and they all believe she is an alcoholic in need of help.”
“Taylor needs to go to rehab and the producers have talked to Kyle and Kim about how best to approach her drinking problem, because Kim’s battle with the bottle was documented on the air,” the insider continues. “There has been talk of doing an on-camera intervention for Taylor.”
However, don’t expect another season of Taylor’s issues to overtake the storyline. After last seasons extremely depressing focus, producers want to get away from the negativity and move towards the BH viewers want to see!
“Producers also want to lighten things up for the upcoming season. There was so much sadness in the last season because of the suicide and Kim’s drinking problem. Viewers want to live vicariously through the ladies and not see so much doom and gloom.”
And speaking of Taylor, despite reports that she is freaking out about losing her job on RHOBH, Loony Lips expressed no such concern on a recent radio interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
“I think there’s so much speculation, I hear things all the time about my life that are completely untrue … I read so many crazy things … [it] definitely has not been decided, they haven’t announced or determined the cast … but that certainly didn’t come to me from Bravo, I heard it in the press.”
THOUGHTS – DO YOU BELIEVE THE THIRD SEASON WILL BE MORE UPBEAT?
“I’m growing and I’m really just focused on Kennedy and learning how to be a single woman and a single mom,” she shared. “I’m just so not ready.” Taylor admits it’s because she still isn’t over Russell Armstrong. “I still think about Russell every single day, and I still miss him terribly and I feel like I’m so far from ready. I don’t know if you just wake up and you’re ready, or how that works. But for me, for now, I really got some growing to do, I think, before I’ll be even ready to be a good judge of what’s good for me.”
Well, perhaps the reason Taylor isn’t ready to focus on a new relationship is she has bigger things to worry about – like a looming $1.5M lawsuit filed against her and her now deceased husband by MyMedicalRecords.com and NuWay Digital Services (NDS). Taylor heads to court this summer and it seems things are heading down a pretty treacherous path.
Today a routine hearing related to the case takes place. MMR alleges that Taylor was a willfully involved party, along with Russell, in pocketing missing investor monies and assisted in failing to disclose certain investors to MMR as part of a settlement agreement between the Armstrongs and MMR. They also state that Taylor misrepresented herself as being a member of the famous Ford Motor Family in order to “lure” investors. We all know this, but it’s worth repeating for scandal’s sake.
Taylor is so distraught over being written out of the show that she’s reportedly been hitting the bottle pretty hard. Taylor’s friends are concerned and are hoping she’ll head to rehab to get some help.
A source tells Radar Online: “Taylor has been relying on alcohol to cope with the suicide of her husband, Russell, and the stress of raising a child as a single mother. Viewers got a glimpse of her drinking last season on the show when she had an epic meltdown at Camille [Grammer's] Aspen mansion. Taylor got so intoxicated that she climbed into her suitcase. It was very scary for all of the ladies to witness. And that was before Russell killed himself. The fellow Housewives feel that Taylor needs to go to rehab to learn how to cope with the pressures of life without alcohol or any other substances. Taylor is in denial that she has a problem with booze. One of the reasons is why is because she is a paid spokesperson for Ciroc vodka. She earns about $100 thousand a year from that endorsement deal, and she is afraid that if she goes to rehab they will drop her.”
Producers have supposedly decided that fans of the show aren’t feeling connected to Taylor, especially after she wrote the book about suffering abuse at the hands of her late husband, Russell Armstrong. They’re also afraid that Taylor will be too dull for this season without the marriage drama.
“Everyone’s concerned that without the marriage drama she’s just going to come across as dull. It’s unlikely that she’s going to be able to start publicly dating again so soon after Russell’s death and with her money troubles she’s unlikely to be leading any kind of aspirational lifestyle, so she’s basically not really going to have any interesting hook.”
TELL US – DO YOU THINK TAYLOR SHOULD HEAD TO REHAB? DO YOU THINK IT’S JUST A WAY TO SPICE UP HER STORYLINE THIS SEASON?
Following yesterday’s report that Taylor Armstrong will be “phased out” of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the reality trainwreck star is freaking out. Even worse, Taylor allegedly found out about Bravo’s plan to gradually remove her from the cast from reading the tabloids! Oops—that’s gotta sting!
Upon hearing the gossip, Taylor immediately got on the phone to Bravo producers for reassurance, only to be told that the rumor was kinda true! “Taylor called because she was certain that there was no way that she was going to be phased out,” a source close to the reality star reveals to RadarOnline. “However, when she spoke with the higher ups they didn’t deny that she would be featured on the show in a much more limited capacity with a much smaller role.”
The news is devastating to Taylor, who is under contract for another year and will not be eligible to secure any other TV deals until released! “Taylor now knows that her days on the show are numbered. She is extremely upset because she just signed a contract extension for season three, but she wasn’t made aware of Bravo’s plans for her. She absolutely freaked out because she counts on the show as her primary source of income and uses it as a platform to secure other endorsement deals.” Uh-oh!
Moving on, Adrienne Maloofand her family are again threatening to move their NBA team, the Saramento Kings. If you recall, last season Adrienne was shown attending what could possibly be the final game at the King’s Sacramento stadium, and was faced with protests from local residents. Adrienne announced that upon learning how much the team meant to the community they had decided not to relocate the team.
However, a year later, things have changed. According to the NY Times, the outdated arena remains a problem for the team owners, and the family is hinting that the team’s days in the city are numbered. Yesterday, the Maloof family hosted a press conference in which they detailed plans to relocate the team, because a soluble agreement with the city could not be reached.
Apparently, in October of last year, the family reached a “handshake deal” with Sacramento Mayor, Kevin Johnson, agreeing to financial terms for the new arena; but the deal is no longer sufficient. The Maloofs would like the deal renegotiated and they would like to see progress to substantiate the agreement, but the city is not prepared to make changes or agree to a proposed renovation of the exiting arena. Other areas of contention include the lease agreement for the new facility, naming rights, arena design, and responsibility of game-day expenses.
The Maloof family also objects to the city’s request for a financial contribution of an additional $3.2 million towards the project when they were already expected to shell-out $73M. The NBA was prepared to loan the family $67 M and give them an additional $7M for the construction with the city kicking in $255M. Sheesh—that’s one hell of an outrageously expensive basketball court! Maybe they can borrow the court at the local YMCA?
“If [Mayor Kevin Johnson] says he’s not negotiating, then he killed the deal,” Adrienne’s brother, George Maloof, said in a press conference yesterday. “It’s over.”
Since the deal was non-binding, the Maloofs have every right to back out and begin looking for a new location for the team as the move is apparently imminent.
THOUGHTS ON LATEST IN THE RHOBH CASTING DRAMA? DO YOU BELIEVE THE NEWS THAT TAYLOR WILL BE “PHASED OUT”? IS IT A MISTAKE FOR THE MALOOF’S TO MOVE THEIR NBA TEAM?
Despite the continued scrutiny about who’s in and who’s out concerning the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, apparently, the ladies have returned to work and started filming season three. Didn’t season two just end yesterday?
No word on Brandi Glanville‘s prospective status, although, rumors have circulated that Kim and Kyle refused to sign on if Brandi was included in the cast (cause they’re like so mature like that); which led to Lisa seriously reconsidering her involvement in the show.
As for what viewers can expect this season–lots more of Kim and Kyle’s nonsense to be sure! And continued tension between Lisa and Adrienne. We’ll also see Adrienne expanding her Maloof Hoof shoe line. Which is funny, because the gorgeous specimens were recently spotted on clearance! Guess nobody likes a fat, cheap-looking little knock-off!
Additionally, things will be a lot more upbeat and fun this season. “Last year, things with Taylor were very intense and got very dark,” the source continues . “I think everyone wants to see the show wants to get away from that so Taylor can continue recovering from the tragedy and focus on raising her daughter.”
One thing is certain, the drama will be complemented by glamour, wealth, and chaos! “At the end of the day, the reason this is one of the most successful of the Bravo franchises is because these women are fabulous and they know how to really bring the drama. That’s not going to change one bit.”
And now onto the Taylor subject. According to Wetpaint, Loony Lips is, indeed, returning to the series and her focus will be milking her fifteen minutes for all it’s worth recovery. However, RadarOnline is now reporting that the infamous Ms. Armstrong’s days with Bravo are indeed numbered!
Taylor Armstrong is heading out on the road for a national speaking tour, according to a new press release. If any groups are willing to pay her to share her story, of course. The talks will focus solely on her book “Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss & Finding the Courage Within”. From the release:
“In this captivating talk, Taylor Armstrong relates the deeply personal story of how she found herself in a relationship of inequality, her struggle with both deep love and fear of her husband, and how she summoned the courage from within to finally leave him. In her characteristic witty, lighthearted manner, Armstrong also shares illuminating—and even humorous—anecdotes, both about life (good and bad) with her husband, as well as her experiences as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where she often found herself battling with friends who struggled to understand the extent of her abuse.”
In other publishing news, just one month after Brandi Glanville announced that she’d be releasing a book that will dish on her life post-divorce, guess who has ALSO decided to write a book of her “own”? LeAnn Rimes, of course. In what *could* be a case of poor timing, the country singer shared this week that she’s planning to pen the story behind her relationship with Eddie Cibrian and a general biography of sorts.
LeAnn reportedly wants to tell her “honest” side of the story of what happened. Doesn’t she already do that daily on Twitter?
