Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and fiance Ed Swiderski made a special appearance on the Bachelor early on this season as the two were set to publicly announce their wedding date. Things however changed when the couple asked ABC to remove their wedding date announcement from the episode.
Their reason back then was that they wanted more privacy. However in a new interview with RadarOnline, it seems the couple have decided to slow things down a bit.
“Well, our wedding plans are coming along slow,” Jillian revealed. Ed quickly chimed in: “We want to do it right.” He added, “I would say the size is not that important as well we need a location. We need a venue that supports the dates that we want.”
In a different interview with Inspiredbythis.com, Jillian reveals their wedding will likely be taking place next year, and no longer Fall 2010 as they had previously planned. When asked if she had a wedding date, Jillian said “no, not yet!” She added that they aren’t ready to commit to a date. “I’m pretty sure I know where I want to do it, what I want to wear, and who I want to come, but that’s really it.”
When asked about rumors she wanted Ed to propose to her again in private and away from the cameras by RadarOnline, she revealed, “I think that would be nice, but… I am not waiting to get married for that. But like, let’s just discuss it again non-televised…in private.”
Ed also joked about this Bachelor season, mainly Ali leaving early for work, something he did to Jillian last season. “People just think they can come and go every time they please,” he said about Ali “pulling a Swiderski.” Added Jillian: “She might come back. You’ll see if Ali loves Jake as much as Ed loves me.”
Every time I read something about this couple, the first thoughts to race through my head is “She’s still with him?” and “They’re still together?” If you’re wondering why those thoughts, it has to do with the very widely publicized cheating scandal that plagued Ed last year.
