Gretchen Rossi, star of the Real Housewives of Orange County, avoided being arrested Thursday by showing up for her court case.
Gretchen, 32, who skipped a crucial hearing last week and was threatened with an arrest warrant showed up to court with her boyfriend, Slade Smiley. This is all regarding the $18,000 amount awarded to her ex-boyfriend Jay Photoglou regarding a slander suit he filed against her last year.
It seems Gretchen decided she would pay Jay off to shut him off, there is however a catch. Gretchen’s attorney requested the case be extended until Friday, so that they could give Jay his money in the from of a bond, and not a check.
Why you might ask? Well apparently the sleazeball Jay owes the IRS $30,000 and Gretchen’s lawyer Gregory Brown, told the Judge that Jay shouldn’t get a penny of Gretchen’s payout. Instead, the money should go directly to the IRS.
Jay was not in court on Thursday and all parties are due again in court Friday. Must say, very smart move by Gretchen’s lawyer. Regardless of your thoughts on Gretchen, this Jay character is a scumbag and doesn’t deserve a penny from Gretchen or anyone.
