Camille Grammer “Loves” Kyle, Compares Backlash To A ‘Runaway Train’

It seems Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer is working overtime to redeem her public image after being deemed the most hated housewife ever.

The same day TMZ reported Camille’s actions to quit the hit show might simply be a tactic to force Bravo to give her a good edit on the upcoming reunion show, she gave two new interviews to both PEOPLE magazine and the Ellen DeGeneres Show. In her PEOPLE interview, Camille opens up about the backlash she has received since doing the show.

“It’s like a runaway train that’s out of control,” Camille, 42, says of the negative feedback. “I’m going through this divorce in my private life, and this on top of everything else has been really hurtful. I don’t know where it’s coming from.”

And when it comes to the 4 nannies for her two kids controversy, Camille claims it was all estranged husband Kelsey Grammer’s idea. “Even the nanny controversy, I have to laugh about it, because that was Kelsey’s decision to hire the four nannies. And I’m taking all this heat for it,” says Camille. “It’s almost as if, on the show, he had nothing to do with our life together. We were married! We made these decisions together.”

And in her interview with Ellen DeGeneres, scheduled to air today, Camille, who was shown kissing her married friend Nick Stabile on the lips on Thursday’s episode of the BH Housewives, reveals how she discovered Kelsey was cheating on her. And no, it wasn’t through her medium BFF pal Allison DuBois.

“A mutual friend called me and said, ‘I don’t like what he’s doing to you and I don’t like the timing because you’re still in the middle of shooting a reality show.’ And then I called him that night and texted him. No answer from him,” Camille recalls. “I waited for three hours and then he called me and said, ‘I don’t want to be married anymore.'” She adds that she and Kelsey no longer speak, but communicate through text and email.

When it comes to her costar Kyle Richards, who she has repeatedly butted heads with all season, Camille reveals she and Kyle are friends, and get this, she even “loves” Kyle.

“I love Kyle, we do get along,” Camille insists. “We are friends, believe it or not. But at times, you know, our personalities just clash. So there’s one day we love each other and we’re laughing and going to dinner, and then two days after, we’re fighting about something ridiculous.” Let’s hope Kyle got the friendship memo.

UPDATE – In the interview with Ellen, Camille adds that her only reason to do a 2nd season would be to redeem her image.”Right now, as everybody knows, I’m going through a divorce,” she says. “If I would do [another season], it would be to try to change my image – to try to change it around and have people see the other side of me that you don’t see on TV.”
