Am I the only one who feels that Ryan Seacrest is on well on his way to world domination? Like it or not, the guy has been exceeding (a million-fold) his own goals…he started out as his high school’s version of David Silver (dun nun nun nah, dun nun nun nah chhh-chhh!), parlayed that into a successful radio show, became the emcee that lasted (what was that other guy’s name?) on American Idol, and he (unfortunately?) is responsible–with Kris Jenner, of course–for katapulting the Kardshian klan post Kim’s sex tape. The man has skills.
Now, not only is he responsible for the KUWTK uber-phenomenon (still not sure I’m happy about that…), Ryan is poised to bring us even more E! drama and ratings as a producer on the highly anticipated and much hyped docu-series about former Olympian Bruce Jenner in which the transgender reality star transitions into her new life as Caitlyn. I Am Cait is set to premiere later this summer.

E!’s parent company, NBC, recently released a press release about Caitlyn’s new series, which will follow her new life as a transgender woman. The show, set to premiere on Sunday, July 26th at 8:00PM ET, will be broadcast in 22 languages in more than 120 countries across the globe. Produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, I Am Cait will span eight one-hour episodes. According the the release, the “series will explore what Cait’s transition means for the people in her life and how those relationships are affected, while offering a better understanding of many of life’s challenges for the trans community.”
Additionally on E!’s agenda is Stewarts & Hamiltons which is set to premiere after I Am Cait and also run for eight weeks. The series focuses on international superstar Rod Stewart’s daughter Kimberly, who is no spotlight newbie thanks to a privileged upbringing, a friendship with Paris Hilton, and a child with Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro. Joining Kimberly and crew will be her mother Alana’s ex-husband (and the tannest man in Hollywood) George Hamilton. George will share the small screen with son Ashley Hamilton (former bad boy and ex-husband of Shannon Dougherty…is my 90210 reference coming full circle?) and his half-brother George, Jr.
Not willing to be left out of the party. Kimberly’s brother, star of many one and done seasons of forgettable reality shows (and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Adrienne Maloof’s once upon a time boy toy), Sean Stewart will be front and center. His story line will no doubt follow the crazy antics with his best friend and roommate Dean Geistlinger. Also a Bunim/Murray creation, the series touts that viewers need to “[g]et ready for laughs, fun, and a whole lot of love from a family with a lineage only Hollywood could produce!”
