Even though all of the full-time Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members are on the outs with Lisa Vanderpump, the end of her relationship with Kyle Richards stings the most. They were the two remaining OG cast members. Now, Kyle is the sole original remaining (as a full-time cast member, anyway), with Erika Jayne crowning her as the “queen” of the cast during the Season 9 reunion.
Many fans (adamantly) took sides in the Lisa vs. Kyle feud. Meanwhile, others wanted them to get back to the fun times they use to have
teaming up against other cast members. Reunion host and Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen is rooting for a reconciliation and he thinks he know what it will take for them to get back on good terms.
Remember when Taylor Armstrong was on Season 1 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? One, or rather two, things were obvious: Taylor had enormously plump lips, and she loved her cocktails. Her marriage to Russell Armstrong was a big storyline on early seasons, as well as the extravagant parties that the duo threw for their beloved daughter, Kennedy Armstrong.
In a shocking turn of events, Russell died of an apparent suicide on August 16, 2011. Russell was dealing with legal issues, such as several lawsuits and bankruptcy. Less than a month earlier, Taylor had filed for divorce. She also alleged that Russell physically and mentally abused her. This was a disturbingly dark period in Housewives history.
Watching all the family scenes on this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills makes me nostalgic for one of my all-time favorite Housewife hubbies–Paul Nassif. The scenes between Paul and then-wife Adrienne Maloof were often entertaining–and uncomfortable–as they bickered over everything from child-rearing to romance to how to order food in a restaurant. All that arguing eventually led to an acrimonious split, with the couple announcing their divorce in 2012.
Since that time, Paul and Adrienne have mended fences and are now on good terms. Paul, of course, has gone on to star on Botched, with former Real Housewives of Orange County hubby Terry Dubrow. And now Paul has some good news in the romance department to announce–he was recently engaged!
There’s an illness and it’s spreading. It seems several former Housewives are plagued with, “Pretty Please Notice Me!?!” We’ve seen the symptoms in Kelly Bensimon, from Real Housewives of New York. Jill Zarin may also need to seek treatment. Then there is poor, long-term sufferer, Brandi Glanville. Our Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
We’ve recently seen Brandi pop up on an episode where she shared good times with Denise Richards. I’m still trying to root for you, Denise! But Brandi’s motives are clear. She wants us to know she is great pals with newbie Denise. #cheersbitch Now we know there is a vacancy on the show. A big gap needs to be filled. So is Brandi shooting her shot while shooting her mouth off, again? Now she is revealing the “truth” about her
failures bad luck. I’ll give you one guess on who Brandi blames for her downfall…
Even when she isn’t around, Lisa Vanderpump manages to be the most-talked-about person on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She stopped filming in the middle of the season, but production is doing a great job weaving in random kitchen remodel footage to make it seem like she stuck around a lot longer than she did.
Then, there’s that infamous lie detector test that she took with her boy John Sessa by her side. You know the one that Kyle Richards’ daughter’s friend supposedly saw with her own eyes. Does anyone actually believe that Alexia Umansky’s friend actually happened to be at the same lie detector facility as LVP? There’s little to no chance that actually happened. Someone in production definitely spilled the beans on that one. Now, there’s still one burning question and it has nothing to do with leaking a story. Will Lisa attend the Season 9 reunion taping?
It’s crazy to think a dispute over a dog ruined Dorit Kemsley and Lisa Vanderpump’s friendship. The two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars ended their friendship after Dorit refused to believe LVP. Lisa has swore on the lives of her children she didn’t give the story to Radar Online. That doesn’t seem to be enough for Dorit or any of the other ladies.
The biggest talking point right now is whether or not Lisa will show up to the upcoming reunion taping. So many rumors are swirling about her RHOBH status, and nothing is certain. Nobody knows what Lisa’s reunion status is, but we’re curious what the women think she’ll do. However, Dorit, in particular, has a few opinions on what she’d ideally like to see go down.
At this point Lucy might be the most iconic dog on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Sorry Giggy! The majority of the cast has turned on Lisa Vanderpump over this dog. Most of the ladies believe that she sought out to make Dorit Kemsley look bad. Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave also has found herself in the middle of this mess as an alleged accomplice. However, she claims she only plotted because it’s what Lisa wanted.
One cast member not directly involved is Erika Jayne. Erika has had her issues with all three ladies over her four season run. She has always thought LVP was a sniper from the side making everyone do her dirty work. She fought with Dorit over underwear, and Teddi accused her of pretend amnesia. Give her past with that trio, it could be hard to tell whose side Erika is truly on. Luckily, she’s giving us a definitive stance on #PuppyGate!
This week we celebrate Kyle Richards‘ birthday, a momentous Bravo occasion if ever there was one, because it is Kyle who brought us kaftans. I cried tears of warm rosé to learn that Kaftans By KyleKantoo closed last year, because how else am I going to satisfy my dream of being shrouded in polyester satin leopard print, weighed down by giant rhinestones and chopped off at the mid-thigh? I guess I’ll have to travel all the way to Beverly Hills to raid Kyle’s closet!
So anyway, follow me as we go on a journey of Kyle’s best (and by ‘best’ I mean WORST!) and most infamous moments on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Most of Kyle’s notable moments are connected to Kim Richards. The Twisted Sisters Richards have formed the cornerstone of this show’s consistent focus of very real family dysfunction from practically the very first episode.
