E!’s Fashion Police hasn’t been the same without the unparalleled wit of Joan Rivers, but it looks like the network is ready to shake things up a bit for their premiere August 31. Alongside regular hosts Melissa Rivers, Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski will be Real Housewives of Atlanta’s (ex) star NeNe Leakes! Awesomely edgy comedienne Margaret Cho will join NeNe as guest host for the night too. (Any wagers out there on how hard core Cho will go up against Giuliana or, for that matter, NeNe?)
The premiere episode of Fashion Police featuring Nene and Cho will cover the hits and
tragic misses of this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Guest hosts for the five remaining FP episodes following the premiere will be announced on social media each Monday leading up to the show. No word yet on who the guest hosts will be, but I’m betting there’s another reality star in the mix somewhere. Or perhaps Teresa Giudice will be live tweeting from prison? Juuuust kidding.

NeNe recently announced her departure from RHOA, citing her “happiness” as primary reason for the change. Shortly after parting ways with Bravo, NeNe announced her next gig on ABC’s gameshow To Tell the Truth.
Claiming that the ABC gameshow contacted her only after she’d left RHOA, NeNe told Extra in July that she felt ready to get back to more peaceful place in her life. “I just want to be in a place where I’m free and I can kind of get back to me and laugh cause that’s what I like to, I don’t really like being in a place where I am not laughing,” claimed NeNe.
After guest stints on The View and Live with Kelly and Michael, NeNe is no stranger to stepping into the hosting chair, at least temporarily. And the hundreds of catchphrases she’s cultivated on her years as a RHOA housewife may be put to good use in her Fashion Police critiquing too. Although TMZ reported NeNe claiming she was “the next Joan Rivers” in a video back in March 2015, no news has surfaced about NeNe having further involvement in the show beyond guest hosting at this point.
