Holidays are about fambly. At least that’s what Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Guidice is claiming about her decision to spend Thanksgiving alone at Danbury Correctional Facility, where she’s serving out her eleven and a half-month sentence until December 23rd of this year.

Teresa says she doesn’t want husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana, to visit her on Thanksgiving day because she wants the holiday to be “as normal as possible for the girls.” Normal may be in the eye of the beholder, but good on her for trying!

As for Teresa’s Thanksgiving, it will consist of a turkey dinner, courtesy of prison cooks. Will this festive occasion show up in Teresa’s “tell all” prison memoir, ‘Turning The Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again‘? Or has printing already shut down on that catastrophe? The book is purported to have a Feb. 9, 2016 release date.

Throughout Teresa’s imprisonment at Danbury, Joe and the girls (along with Teresa’s mother) have been making regular visits to her, as well as receiving semi-weekly calls. If she hasn’t used her allotted monthly pre-paid phone minutes by Thanksgiving, Teresa should at least be able to call her family to check in on the holiday.

A source tells OK Magazine that Teresa’s wish to spend the holiday alone comes from her desire to keep her daughters in their regular routine. The source says, “She just wants the girls to have a good day.”
