The perpetually clueless – or is she just full of it?! – Cynthia Bailey took to her Real Housewives of Atlanta blog to express her shock over Kim Fields and Kenya Moore not wanting to work together on the unnecessary Cynthia Bailey Eyewear commercial. Really, Cynthia?
But first, Cynthia weighed in on the debate over Kim‘s beatless brunch. “I was not personally offended or insulted by Kim’s ‘beatless brunch’ concept and felt her intentions were coming from a good place. However, I understand why some of the other ladies may have felt differently,” she said. “In my opinion the true definition of natural beauty is defined by more than minimal or no makeup, which is just one of many components.”

Cynthia acknowledged, “I thought the topic of ‘natural beauty’ brought up great conversation and a variety of interpretations.”
Moving onto the commercial drama, Cynthia said she was disappointed Kenya blew off her meeting and deprived Cynthia Bailey Eyewear of her skills.
“As part of the Life Twirls On cast <not sure this is something I’d brag about>, I got an opportunity to see firsthand how smart, talented, and creative Kenya is as a businesswoman,” gushed Cynthia. “I was very excited to hear her concept and see her ‘Gone with the Wind’ fabulous storyboards. I was disappointed that Kenya was not able to twirl over to the meeting.”

Cynthia claimed to be surprised that Kim wanted to work sans Kenya. “Yes, I was surprised that Kim did not want to co-produce the commercial,” she said. “As someone who has spent most of her career in front of the camera, I am still learning the protocol for directing and producing.”
Oh please, I don’t believe for a second that Cynthia is surprised. I think she knew exactly what she was doing when she asked Kim and Kenya, who haven’t exactly been hitting it off so far, to join forces – getting the name of her eyewear brand in the blogs. Well played, Cynthia, but don’t insult our intelligence.
