Dorinda Medley is not reacting well to Bethenny Frankel and Ramona Singer calling out her man. Saying last week’s episode of Real Housewives Of New York “truly, madly, deeply angered me,” Dorinda goes on to explain just why Ramona’s comments were so hurtful and questions what exactly Bethenny’s motives are!
To quote Bethenny, Dorinda quips, “I have to say that the gild is not only off this lily, but it has been scraped off, melted off, trampled on, etc,” and “proves that this wasn’t ‘the summer & fall of zero f—s,’ because I’m clearly in [Bethenny’s] radar.”
“Not only is there a lot to talk about Dorinda, Dorinda, Dorinda, but there’s a FASCINATION with my life and relationship with John,” she points out.

“How much crueler could Bethenny and my ‘dear friend’ of 20 years, Ramona, be?! So disappointed and sad — surprised and horrified, too,” Dorinda expresses. “Ramona broke my heart simply and purely. Even though we eventually move past it, it really angered me. Truly, madly, deeply angered me.”
Dang – Dorinda feels things. DEEP.
Before getting into the drama with Bethenny, Ramona, and John, Dorinda takes a moment to defend Jules Wainstein‘s domestic insanity. “Seeing Jules in her favorite place — home — being her favorite thing — a mom and a wife —brings me a huge smile and it really warms my heart. Home is where Jules truly shines.” If that was Jules shining, then I have no words…
“For anyone to criticize how she mothers and how she is as a wife is out of bounds. No one here is the poster child for a ANYTHING, and we’re all doing our best,” adds Dorinda. “Of course, even though Jules is a new moving target, there’s an elephant in the room, so to speak…John.”
“How about that phone call with Ramona and Bethenny? It was like Mean Girls on acid, just add a few decades here and there. Just really gross,” comments Dorinda. “Here I was, planning something cute and light and FUN for the girls (and only girls), but they were setting up some ambush between The Two Towers.”
Dorinda describes Ramona and Bethenny’s decision to confront her with viagra-gate as a “serious premeditated ambush.”
“This wasn’t a drive-by crime of passion, this was First Degree Ambush. Unbelievable and sickening,” she seethes, calling out Ramona and Bethenny for being “extremely hurtful” with “ZERO manners and discretion.”
“I know this game. I know what scrutiny is and what it feels like, and I know contempt like few others ever will,” writes Dorinda in her Bravo blog. “I respect Bethenny, and thought I was building a friendship, but who knows?”
SO, what makes Dorinda believe Bethenny and Ramona plotted to discredit her relationship with John? Well, the facts, according to Dorinda!
- Dorinda and John have”never” gone out with Bethenny “as a couple. Ever.”
- “He’s met her a handful of times, at best. We don’t even have friends in common,” adds Dorinda, “so her obsession with John and us as a couple is just plain odd.”
- Bethenny should “try sharing some real life time with us, try getting to know us as a twosome, and then go on and form her opinion.”
- “She’s taken the idea of ‘drive-by therapy’ and turned it into a marketing initiative. Please stop, B, it’s hurtful.”
Even worse: Ramona was repeating heresy from a “Star Wars crowd… still stuck living a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.” That coupled with their longtime close friendship made the hurt sting all the more for Dorinda. “Ramona broke my heart simply and purely.”
“It was wrong of Ramona to say it and just plain stupid for her to believe it in the first place,” she continues. “For Bethenny to suggest that Ramona’s clueless is just as ignorant as her own actions were arrogant. If either of them TRULY had my back, they wouldn’t grandstand in front of strangers and ruin the evening by humiliating me the way they did. Especially if they barely have a clue about my real relationship.”
“Ramona knows what she was doing, and John would never say that to someone!”
Eviscerating Bethenny’s warped versions of “realness” and “truth,” Dorinda wonders why Bethenny is so intent on being a hypocrite?
“I wish manners and discretion would lead her to talk to ME, in private, and voice her concerns,” complains Dorinda. “She wouldn’t like an ambush like this and, to be honest, couldn’t survive one if it happened. God forbid someone responds with some REAL TRUTH.”
Continuing with ‘realness’ and ‘truth,’ Dorinda is on the offensive about what really went down that night in the Hamptons, which Bethenny keeps alluding to.
Dorinda maintains that she spent the majority of the summer in the Berkshires avoiding the chaos and went to the Hamptons once.
“We ended up at Bethenny’s after visiting a few friends, including Luann, for a late-night dance party and a next-day brunch. The late-night party in her Skinnygirl pool house was filled with a bunch of other late-night revelers and friends and fire pits. We danced, we gabbed, we drank, we had a great Saturday night. Here’s the thing: There was one comment made about Hannah that I did not appreciate. Bethenny knows what I’m talking about. It got me angry, and I wasn’t going to back down about it, though I tried. The next day at brunch, I was still angry. But John was still manning the grill behind the pool for her and her 30 guests, because that’s what a gracious guest does…and he’s more than happy to do it. The comment the night before was not only unfair and out of line, it was also mean.
“That said, I didn’t expect our ‘off-time’ to end up as fodder for everyone. In the end, I’ll stay true to character and reiterate what I said at the reunion: ‘The good news is, I don’t give a sh–!’”
Because she’s a grown woman (except where Twitter is involved), Dorinda is choosing to focus on being happy. No matter what Bethenny’s opinion is!
Dorinda closes with some advice to Bethenny about how she treats the commoners she’s forced to inhabit Real Housewives Of New York alongside.
“The constant scrutiny and speculation is not only unfounded, it’s downright defamatory. I think you’ll see this labeling of peoples’ lives and lifestyles become obnoxious and get old really quick. Of course, I’m not the only one in her firing range. It’s sad and it hurts.”
Tonight is Part Two of Bethenny & Ramona Vs. Dorinda – and then enter John. What appears to be a very impaired John – who is forced out by a humiliated Dorinda. Unfortunately Jules finds herself caught in the cross-hairs between her two friends.
After all the drama, the ladies head to the Hamptons to celebrate Bethenny’s birthday, but then no one can move past the drama at Dorinda’s brassiere fitting party. Dorinda agrees to dinner with Bethenny and Ramona in an attempt to clear the air, but everything is left up in the air instead…
