Teresa Giudice On Her Call To Jacqueline: “I’m The Type Of Person Who Forgives”

Last night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey we got to witness the Christmas miracle of Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga burying the hatchet and leaving the past ugliness behind them. We’re not sure if it’ll last, but we’ll just have to wait and see. We also witnessed a super awkward New Year’s Eve call between Teresa and Jacqueline Laurita, which Teresa says was totally innocent and well-intentioned.

Teresa shared that Christmas Eve with her family was her favorite moment of the episode. “I was so happy to see Joey and Melissa, my niece and nephews, and my parents, who mean so much to me. It felt soooo good to be back with my family again. I felt like I never left.”

She shared in her new blog that she was glad to have a private talk with her sister-in-law to settled their issues. “Everybody got a little nervous when me and Melissa went into the kitchen together to talk. They had no idea what was going to happen since we hadn’t seen each other for almost a year. I’m so glad we got to have that heart to heart, just the two of us, alone. I wanted to let her know that I came back with a different frame of mind –- that I just wanted peace in our lives and wanted to start everything off on a positive note.”

Teresa continued, “I wanted her to know that I wasn’t going to fight with her anymore. That if there were some kind of disagreement, that I would just walk away. I’m done with that. I also said that I’m not going to let anybody get between us anymore. That caused too many problems before, and I just won’t allow it to happen again. That’s it.”

Tre says things are now just like they were in the old days before Melissa joined the show, “I’m really happy that Melissa was receptive to what I said.   After our talk, what you saw is how we always were together — like it was when I first met her. We used to get along so well. We just kind of picked up how we left off.”

Teresa insists that she was just trying to start out the New Year on a good note with Jacqueline and that she wanted Dolores to feel fine about leaving Tre’s party to head to Jac and Chris’s house.  “As for New Year’s Eve…I don’t know why people made such a big deal about me calling Jacqueline that night. Dolores was over at my house for New Year’s Eve and had to leave early because she was going to Jacqueline’s. Dolores and I go way back and I wanted her to feel comfortable leaving my house and let her know I was fine with her going over there. So I thought, “Let me call Jacqueline and wish her Happy New Year.” That was it. It was spur of the moment. I didn’t give it any more thought than that.”

“I was a little surprised that my call got the reaction it did. New year, new beginning, right? That’s what I was thinking. That you should start the New Year off on a good note because that sets the tone for the year to come. Besides that, I hadn’t seen Jacqueline in more than a year and honestly forgot about a lot of the things that happened with us before I went away. I’m the type of person that forgives. I don’t like to hold on to anger. It eats you up alive. She and I go way back, too, so it just felt easy — and right — to call her and wish her Happy New Year. That’s all it was.” She adds, “And so the drama begins! And of course, there’s more to come…so keep tuning in!”

Teresa closes out her blog with, “So thank you so much for watching and as always, for your love and support! I’m so happy to be back…I missed you all so much and hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did. I love, love, love, love you all!”
