I feel like there are so many reality TV stars that (attempt to) open up restaurants, but Iâm pretty surprised to learn that Melissa Gorgaâs husband Joe Gorga is about to be one of them. Sure, heâs all about the Italian pride, but he was also very adamant about the kitchen being a womanâs place.
Then again, starting up a restaurant would be the perfect compromise for Joe and Melissa. He can take care of the business aspects and she can oversee the menu. I have no idea if Melissa is even involved in this project, but Iâm sure her husband has asked her for advice while he has been working to get the place up and running.

As expected, Joeâs restaurant will be serving up Italian food in New Jersey. There is zero surprise there. According to a recent article from NJ.com, the restaurant will be located in East Hanover, New Jersey.
It is called Gorgaâs Homemade Pasta & Pizza and it is described as a place that will âspecialize in bringing delicious versions of our familyâs favorite Italian dishes to you.â Iâm sure there will be plenty of self promotion scenes involving the start of this restaurant during the next Real Housewives of New Jersey season.
I wonder if the chef will be using any recipes from Teresa Giudiceâs cookbooks. I would also love to know what Joeâs cousin Kathy Wakile thinks about this news since she also has an Italian restaurant in the works. Thereâs no word on when the restaurant will officially open, but Iâm sure Melissa and Teresa will share the news when itâs official official on their social media accounts.
Since filming is underway for the next season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, itâs likely weâll be seeing the restaurantâs progress on the show.
