Bristol Palin Quits Teen Mom; Maci Bookout & Cheyenne Floyd Comment

Everything has its price, doesn’t it? Even though reality TV brings (a least a moderate level of) fame and money, it’s not worth it to everyone. Sure, it’s all fun and games when people with hair extensions lie about using promote hair vitamins. At this point, there’s nothing at all original about selling a monthly subscription box on Instagram.

Basically, there’s a bunch of debatably profitable/fulfilling perks aside from getting a cast member’ s salary. However, Bristol Palin does not seem to care. She’s done with Teen Mom OG.

Bristol announced her departure from the show in an Instagram post. She began, “teen mom OG wasn’t a fit for me, it took away my peace.. and honestly – my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford. $ doesn’t impress me.” I have no genuine insight into Bristol’s finances, but something tells me she doesn’t need the funds as much the other cast members do might.

Bristol continued, “I don’t entertain bs, and walking away from this show allows God to rebuild me (and my little fam) in the right direction.” Who could blame Bristol for leaving the show? There’s little to no chance that the show will ever show her in a positive light. Most of her level-headed/logical remarks are on the cutting room floor. And, of course, all of her most unflattering moments are on full display. Being a reality TV star can be tough, but pretty much none of these Teen Mom stars get a “good edit.” Nevertheless, most of them need the money so they don’t care.

Ultimately, Bristol kept it positive. She concluded, “I have love for all the girls on the show, and wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors!!”

Two of Bristol’s former costars commented on her announcement. Cheyenne Floyd wrote, “Wishing you all the luck and blessings.” In an interview with Us Weekly, Cheyenne commented, “I am not shocked that she’s not going to continue. I wish her and her family the best and all the luck on her next endeavors.” She also remarked, “I have no clue if there will be a replacement, and if so, welcome aboard. Bristol is very nice and I will miss her being a part of our show.” And now Cheyenne is the sole cast member who was not a part of the original cast (or ever a teenage mother).

Maci Bookout commented on Bristol’s post with “Will definitely miss working with u pretty girl! Definitely still have to get the boys together! XoXo.”
