The Netflix series Tiger King is wildly popular. Of course, people are going to capitalize on that as much as they can. And, now, there’s a scripted series in the works.
The title for the scripted series is Joe Exotic. Deadline reported that Kate McKinnon has signed on as an executive producer and to play Carole.
A rep for Carole’s Big Cat Rescue spoke to TMZ about the scripted project, asking for them to use computer-generated animals instead of real animals.

Andy rebuffed that suggestion because he feels like Margot is “too attractive” to play Joe. However, Robert told him “Just look at her eyes, that’s the thing, if you look at her eyes, she has these eyes that are just like Joe’s … I think she would do a great job with it.” I don’t see it, but I’m not against this idea.

Robert also revealed, “We’ve been talking a lot of names … Sam Rockwell was one of the names that came up a lot to play Joe Exotic.” He also suggested John C. Reilly to portray Doc Antle.
Joe’s ex-husband John Finlay (who he was never legally married to) shared who he wants to play him. During an appearance on Lights Out With David Spade, John said, “I would have to say Channing Tatum.”

Before you come at John for that not-so-clear resemblance, he actually has a sweet reason for suggesting Channing Tatum. Men’s Health reported that John revealed, “I think it was 4-5 years ago. He did a shout out to Alyssa Finlay—she had Stage 4 Breast Cancer, and one of her bucket list was to have Channing Tatum give her a kiss. And he did on, I think it was Skype, or something like that. Since he did that for my distant cousin, I would actually like him to play me.” Aaaww.
