Andy Cohen Explains Why Real Housewives Of Miami Stopped Filming

Bravo has been airing throwback episode marathons to entertain everyone while they stay at home. Last week concluded with a Real Housewives of Miami Season 3 marathon. This had many people wondering why the show never returned?

At this point, we’ve seen so many Real Housewives shows with dud seasons, yet they came back, with plenty of additional episodes. Was Real Housewives of Miami the greatest reality TV show? No, but many fans feel like it got canceled prematurely.

During Friday’s marathon, Andy Cohen responded to questions from fans in his Instagram Story. The Instagram account Real Housewives franchise reported on Andy’s IG Story explanation. He began, “People ask me about Miami all the time and say will you ever bring it back?”

Then he revealed, “The reason that we let it go was, I remember the ratings went down toward the end of the season. Which never happens. Like it went down for the reunion, and if it’s going down toward the end that’s just never a good sign. But anyway, I hear your love all the time and really appreciate the show and the women.” I highly doubt that Miami was the only show that ever dipped in the ratings later on in the season. This seems like a lame excuse to me.

He concluded, “And Mama Elsa got sick and dropped out so that was a big hit for the show, it was … it just ended.”

Then, why tease us with that marathon, Andy? It’s not as if there aren’t interesting women thirsty for the spotlight in Miami?
