That same back and forth drama has also crossed over to Shahs of Sunset alum Lilly Ghalichi. She may not be on the show anymore, but her real life drama is mirroring that of her castmates. Just last year, Lilly’s husband, Dara Mir, filed for divorce. However, the couple reconciled and Lilly called it off. Lilly and Dara made it known that nothing was standing in their way as a couple when they were caught kissing passionately at their daughter’s birthday party. But, all is not as it seems as some sad news about the couple has recently come to light.
The Blast reported that Lilly filed for divorce from her husband Dara, “on August 7, 2020 — just a year after her estranged husband first filed to end the relationship.” They also noted that in the legal documentation they attained, Lilly had asked “an L.A. County judge to end the couple’s marriage and work out custody of their young daughter, Alara.”
Last time Lilly had called off their divorce, she had told Us Weekly, “It’s not like anything atrocious has happened between us…I think when two people are married there is that really deep connection and deep level of love at some point that brought them to that point that got them to get married and make vows to each other.”

It’s too bad that Lilly and Dara are unable to make it last, as they have only been married for three years. But, if you file for divorce twice during that short of a time frame, it’s probably best to end it for good. Still, it makes you wonder what exactly happened that sparked filing for divorce a second time.
According to The Blast, “it’s unclear what went down” and “if custody and support will become an issue in their divorce.” They also added that, “Dara has yet to respond to the new divorce filing.” I wonder what will become of Lilly’s journey to have another child? Maybe that was the tipping point for them. After all, Lilly had said she wants to have a baby whether she has a partner or not.

Once Lilly is officially single, maybe she will consider rejoining Shahs. Newcomer Sara Jeihooni wants Lilly back, so there is always a chance she could make the leap back to reality TV. Either way, hopefully, Lilly and Dara’s divorce goes smoothly. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow reconcile for yet a third time.
